My husband got me this game. I was finding it difficult to exercise, because I am always home with my children. No time to go to the gym, plus no childcare at the gym in our building. This is exactly what I needed. It is fun, and you WILL SWEAT, which is what I wanted. When you finish a workout, there is no doubt that you have burned a lot of calories. You will need a shower after doing a mid or full length class. I used to take dance lessons, so I find it pretty easy to pick up most of the steps. I try to pick up the feet first, then add the arms. Sometimes I do feel a bit silly doing some of the moves. I enjoy the music. I would absolutely recommend this game.
Good buy.
I am no Zumba Legend (my wife got mad that I earned that rank in the game and she didn’t, despite the fact that I have never taken a Zumba class in my life and she has) but I found this to be a fun workout and felt like I had done something after a ‘class’ session. It hasn’t really become part of my regular workout routine, but then again I am more of a runner. The game seemed pretty responsive to my body movements, and I think I am just a little better at videogaming than my wife is – something to keep in mind, as it is possible that I didn’t work out as well as she did, but earned higher scores…
This is a great game for working out at home. It is much more engaging than just dancing along with DVDs because you get rated on your performance and can try to improve. Plus, it’s just a great Zumba workout. I love the option of short, medium, and long classes. I can fit a short class into my busy schedule or take a long class on the weekend when I have more time. Perfect for anyone who loves Zumba but doesn’t have time or money for a class in a gym.
I absolutely love this game. I enjoyed going to zumba classes, but can’t always get out of work on time for the ones at the local gym. Having it on demand at home has been great.I think there is a good variety of songs, varying levels of difficulty and intensity, and the calorie counter in the game is surprisingly close to what my heart rate monitor says I’ve burned after a workout. I absolutely love it. I especially like that the "instructors" are very realistic looking, so I can see exactly what the moves are. Some other zumba games I’ve seen use blobs for instructors, and you can only see the body outline, not the specific moves/positions.(On a side note, I learned I can’t wear shoes on my carpet and do many of the moves because the friction, so I just wear socks or go bare foot. You have to be mindful not to hurt your ankles that way, but it’s much easier to do the moves.)
This game is a real weight loss tool that will provide tons of fun. My tip is after you’ve been playing the game about 3 weeks and get some of the routines down, add 1 pound arm weights or 1 pound hand weights to some of the dances to really sweat the pounds off! Most fun I’ve ever had working out! I have definitely lost weight and many inches playing this game.
I’ve had the first Zumba game for about a year now and have gotten pretty tired of the same routines. Zumba Rush keeps things new and fresh with a huge mix of songs. (Some of them even catchy!)Improvements over the first game:Once you are logged in, you stay logged in. One of my biggest peeves of the first game was that any time one of my children or dogs stepped in front of the kinect, or I stepped out to get some water, it would log me out and log in a generic guest. I’ve had no problem staying logged in.While the kinect tracking is not perfect, at least in this game it is not asking me to shake my hips and move my arms when the on screen dancer is standing still. I play the game for a workout, not to test my dancing skills so I”m not really concerned whether I’m perfect. But I could not stand the in game “criticism” to shake my hips during a shoulder stretch.Dancers are now avatars instead of semi translucent with a hue of neon people. I like this. Since they didn’t really talk during the first game, it was awkward. No unlocking! I get the point of unlocking in a traditional game. But this is a workout! If I want a hard burn, I shouldn’t have to make my way through the easy routines just to get there. Major improvement.Hard routines are actually hard. In the first game the hard routines seemed easier than the beginner. Not so in this game3 different length classes.Sweat! I am DRENCHED after a full hour class.Cool downs are much more effective…they include s.
Super fun workout/dancing!On occasion the graphics are slightly awkward, but nothing that disrupts the program.Lots of options of difficulty, time length, songs, and type of "workout" ex you can do a class, or a single song for instanceAlways smiling and laughing while I use this!
I purchased the 3 zumba video games (Zumba Rush, Zumba Core, and Zumba World Party). This one (Zumba Rush) is perfect for people who has previous dance or zumba experience, and enjoy latin music and latin rhythms such as cumbia, merengue, salsa, samba, and cha cha chá. I did not have it 5 stars, because Zumba World Party has much better graphics, and it is suitable for all levels of participants (beginners and experienced). I believe this one is better for experienced.
I love this game. It was easy to use and fairly intuitive. I like the new format where you see the character instead of just a lit up outline. It makes it less confusing. I had original Wii version of this game and I like this MUCH better. The dances are a great workout. I’m still using the training and the medium level dances to get back into it.If you are looking for a fun way to get healthy exercise you’ve come to the right place.
