Always have enjoyed the Sega game Zaxxon. My Colecovision cartridge is spot on. For those unfamiliar with Zaxxon, it was a pioneering arcade game in showing a quarter-angle flight pattern, where the path of your ship can be detected by the firepower. Crosshairs appear when you and another ship/projectile are in each other’s path. The 3-D Zaxxon for the Sega Master System, doesn’t have the quarter angle. The view is directly behind your ship. Enemies and power-ups drift towards you, and after the wave of ships, the corridor with all the missiles, and fuel tanks, and small spaces in the walls over which to fly. The 3-D, plus the music, makes for a thrilling game; one of the best of the 3-D games for the SMS. Thanx for bringing back some fun memories.
