I usually just play this for fun and to get moving so I don’t have an opinion if this would be good as a main source of fitness. It is super fun though! It has a lot of options as to how you want to work out and personalized work out plans. It surprised me with dance routines even!!
Awesome workouts!! Thank you!!
I have tried quite a few exercise games, machines – everything, but none of them have measured up to this one!!! I don’t care which activity you choose, you are guaranteed to break a sweat. Whether you are a beginner, on an intermediate or expert level, this game will not steer you wrong. There are so many activities to choose from that you can ensure you will not run out of things to do. It exceeds the previous version on so many levels. And unlike most games, it even has activities for you to work on specific areas!
I’ve had the Wii Fit for a number of years, but using that board is clunky and a pain in the keister. A friend recommended “Your Fitness Evolved” and the Kinect, so I did. After reading all the positive reviews, I went ahead and purchased the Xbox and YFE 2012, and I’m quite pleased with it. No more board to stand on. The only downside it that it doesn’t track your weight, but it’s a lot better in every other regard.
Great all around cardio work; my pace
I have been a fan of the Zumba XBox workouts for the past couple of years, but needed more intensity in my workout. I decided to try this based upon the reviews, and I love it! The game-based series like jump rope and block punching/kicking are fun and provide excellent cardio. The workout-based series provide a great variety, are easy to follow and very effective. I felt sore for the first time in a year after doing the bootcamp workout. The dance-based series is also easy to follow. I like how easy it is to customize my workout and do something different every day. I also enjoy tracking my progress.I’m not giving it five stars because of a couple of things. First, the Kinect loses sight of me when I try to do floor exercises, so I have to pause the game, adjust the sensor down, then pause the game again and readjust the sensor when I stand. It disrupts my workout. Second, the dance workouts are not on the beat sometimes, so it’s tough to follow the instructor. If you like dance workouts I strongly suggest the Zumba workouts in place of these. The songs are better and the routines are more fun.Overall I think this fitness program is an innovative and exciting way to get into shape. Both men and women can use it because there is so much variety, so it’s a good investment for all.
I have several workout games for several different systems. From the Wii Fit to the Golds Gym for X-Box and even Biggest loser. So far this one gives you the best workout I have ever done on a game system. There are several options for starting out and expert levels. You can do individual workouts or a long one that has more of a circuit thing with 6 intervals and three exercises per interval. I do this and I actually am sweating. The jump rope is an excellent cardio and so is the boxing. There are a few workouts where it is hard for it to recognize my movements or sometimes it cuts off my head but that is nothing resetting it can not do. I will say it takes a bit to load but once it is loaded it is fine. I wish the add-ons where not so expensive but I have gotten a good workout without them so it is not a big deal to me. (You can pay for more workouts and different dance routines) It has Zumba and 2 other dance workouts on it. It also tells you if you are not doing an exercise properly, which can get frustrating at times when you feel you are so I just ignore the beep that tells me I messed up. I do not like how it keeps track of your calories burned though. I wish it had a setup like the wii where it tracks by each day but this just adds them all up from the beginning of the game. You can’t see a daily report. (At least not that I have found yet)
I have my XBox 360 Kinect on a shelf above my TV. The “Your Shape” workout program works very well, both in navigating the menus (fun to push with my hands to choose a selection) and in working out. I enjoy my Wii Fitness workouts/games, but the 360 Kinect ones are a lot of fun too, and I get a good workout.
I have been a couch potato for years. And I drink too much. As a former TKD Black Belt, I was feeling some guilt about my present circumstances. I did a lot of reading about the different exercise games and after trying a few demos decided to go with this one.NO REGRETS!Take the time to go through the set up properly, then choose the activities that you want to do. I love the wall breaking and ball kicking sessions. After using this about two weeks I have already lost about 8 pounds. I am happy with the progress. Each day I add another activity and have found a few I am not able to do yet. But I know I will get there.Good product.
I had this game before and misplaced it i just ordered another one recently, this game gives you alot of results. I lost so much weight with game, better than any other workout game.
