Make no mistake – there is no game here. There is no gameplay whats so ever. It is a visual novel – a story combined with images, music, animation, etc. If you’re not into that, and don’t want to try it, then don’t bother here. As a visual novel the story is solid and stays focused on it. It avoids much of the fanservice that plagues visual novels.
Product As described, arrived on time.
Not the best VN, but still a good time for the price. If you want something to read on your vita then go for it.
I have not played a single BlazBlue game and know absolutely nothing about its universe. But XBlaze caught my eye because of its striking and beautiful art style. This is also my first foray into visual novels. I’ve always wanted to try out the genre, but never got around to it. I’m glad that XBlaze Code: Embryo could be my first.I really enjoyed this game, with its beautiful art (which you will have plenty of time to admire as you progress), excellent soundtrack, and great voice acting. I also really enjoyed the story and characters, and found it to be very interesting and engaging. For those of you who know you won’t enjoy this game, there’s no convincing you. But to those who are familiar with anime, Blazblue, or the visual novel genre, or are on the fence about this game, I say give it a go as there will be a lot for you to enjoy in this game. This will make a great addition to your Vita (or PS3!) library and I’m really glad I picked this up.
Great story that ties to the blazblue game. Very enjoyable
A good enough VN that I would recommend if you like VNs.Started out pretty bland in the beginning, but progressively got better and more interesting. Took some time for the characters to grow on me. Didn’t like the ending I got, good thing there’s 4 more.
Nice story.
Well made
As a Blazblue fan I am really happy with the game, and hopefully the newly announced sequel will also be localized.
