I remember the old days when X-men was at the arcade eatingquarter after another,and men,boys,and preps form endless linejust waiting to kick your butt,to see who’s the # 1 fighter.Anyway…this game is what started the whole VS title,and itremained as one of the top classic game of all time.The arcadeversion was fast and furious,which why i give only 4 star to the playastation 1 ,The PS1 version is terribly slow in both visually and physicly.Still,capcom doesn’t make games like thisanymore.Get this game while you can,because this title isbecoming rare just like X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER.Retail storeslike Gamestop and EB games rarely have them in stock.Even if theydo they’ll charge you $50 to $70 buck for a new and use one.

Take it from a person who has played every x-men game ever. I think this game is one of the better x-men games. Although I despise the cartoon 2d graphics, it works nicly in this game. Not a whole lot of chaacters. Lots of depth. (<(00)>)

I Like this game a lot although the character selection of only 10 fighters (Cyclops, Wolverine, Psylocke, Iceman, Colossus, Storm, Spiral, Silver Samurai, Omega Red and A sleek version of a Sentinel to boot) is small. This is the first of a seemingly endless array of sequels for the Playstaton and Dreamcast systems. Nicely done graphics, music gets a little too heroic at times but the gameplay itself is almost flawless!! If you’re a Street Fighter and X-Men fan, this game is a must!!! Note: To younger kids, this game is pretty difficult even on easy for someone less than 15…
The Arcade game from Marvel that started an Arcade and gaming revolution. The game itself is very full although not as fast as later games from Marvel would be such as X-Men vs. ST, MSH VS. ST, Marvel vs. Capcom ect. The controls are somewhat slow to my responds but I have to admit that to me, this game is a lot harder to beat the say X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Having to go through JUGGERNAUT as the Second boss to finally face Magneto IS AN UNSERMAUNTABLE CHALLENGE. I HAVE YET TO BEAT THIS GAME LOL. Simply put a MUSTBHAVE FOR ANY HARDCORE ARCADE MARVEL FAN.
I have my own copy of this old yet very fun game. I love this game, the only character in there I play as is Akuma from “Super Street Fighter 2 turbo” and he seems to have all his moves from the Street Fighter game he has his dual air fireballs, “In the Street Fighter game if you’re playing as Akuma you only can throw one air-fireball at one time only, of course in this game he has both of Ryu’s and Kens super combos now at his disposal. I only play this game as Akuma and no one else. He is my all time favourite character in this great game. I absolutely love this game, “X-Men: Children of the Atom” the graphics are not that great but you can still have alot of fun with this great game. Playing the game as Akuma is like I said the best part of the game, doing the code for him is very simple and very easy to remember. Unfortunately you cannot save your scores in it like most games, but like I said it is still a fun and great game. I just might play it as soon as I am done writting this review on this great and wonderful game.
This completed my collection of the Marvel vs. series. This is one of the best fighting games I’ve ever played! Not for the faint of heart though, it definitely takes some practice to master the combos and hypers.
