It felt like a sweet trip down memory lane playing this game again. It came faster than I expected, and in great quality. Really brings back the nostalgia of a simpler time.
I have loved wrestling games since I played No Mercy as a child. There have been ones I hate (Wrestlmania 18, Warzone, SvR 2007) and ones I loved (DoR 1+2 SvR 2008 Wreslmania 19) I count this as one that I really like, its not my favorite but it is a great game. The Road to Wrestlmania is pretty epic, there are 6 different roads (Created Superstar, Brand Warfare, Randy Orton, Edge, Shawn Michaels, and Mickey James) they are all about 12 matches long and they are quite a bit of fun. My only complaints on them are that 1. The created wrestler’s RTWM is pretty hard because he will have very low stats but will still have to take on 2 or 3 people at a time and 2. The edge one is just kind of a lame, replayed story. The Creation aspect of the game has improved quite a bit over the last few years. I really like the create a finisher and the paint tool, both add a whole new, easy to use degree of creativity to the game that wasn’t there in previous titles. I have yet to try creating my own storyline, so I can’t give much insight on that at the moment. Your created wrestlers are incedibly hard to find in the vast array of characters on the roster, but that’s a good thing it means that almost every jobber, nobody, and minor character was included this year with a pretty large amount of legends too. Lastly all of the actual fighting in the game has improved, I’m not sure what it is but everything seems right in this game compared to the last (submissions, Royal Rumble toss outs,.

Our grandson asked us to buy this for his 9th birthday. He loves to watch wrestling, and he received it on his birthday.
this game is by far the best smackdown game since here comes the pain. 67 superstars, great match types and improvements to older match types. the RTWM is just great. the game looks good also. the only thing which could use some improvements are the title sizes, thier too small.RTWM- 5/5Carrer- 4/5CAW- 5/5Matches-5/5create storyline- 3/5
