Well, all in all this is the dumbest game on the planet. But yet the appeal of this game is mystifying and the game is so addicting. We have played every version since day one and can never put it done. This is one of the best multi-player games out there for us “older” players!The game is in it’s classic 2-D format. They have a system in place to earn coin after completing things so you can go to the store and unlock campaigns and gear. That is a nice format, but they do make it too easy to earn coin and unlock items.For being on the PSP, we have the PSP2000, Worms 2 really looks crisp and clean. The newer cut-scenes are hilarious as usual. I swear they could make a cartoon series with these worms. The gameplay is rather smooth and as alwasy, easy to understand. On the PSP, it is a little harder to control naturally.There are a few newer weapons than in previous versions. They are really hard to obtain during battle though. They have rarely come into play yet. The landscapes are done rather well, but too many of them remind you of the ones from years ago. Dirt is dirt no matter how many ways you rearrange it. There is one or two landscapes though that are particulary very challenging.The AD-HOC multiplayer works really well with little delay time involved. I tried to play on the Internet, but absolutley nobody on playing. :(If you are a Worms fan, then you will buy this anyway. If you like the more classic gaming and you have never played this before, give it a try, you mi.
The title really says it all. This is everything you want in a portable worms game. Period. They have shut down the infastructure servers for online which is a bit dissapointing but you can live with Ad-Hoc Party for free on PSN if you have a PS3 and still use the online.I personally am having endless fun playing the campaign mode and if you are a Serious WORMS fan you will never get sick of this. I actually play this game more than any of my other PSP games.5/5, even has some advanced features I really didn’t expect that are found in the newer WORMS games.
We ordered this game for Christmas for my son and it came quickly and he LOVES it – says it is one of his fav games!
I can’t think of a better type of portable game than worms. I haven’t tried this out yet, but if it plays like other worms games I have played, than it should be awesome!
Great game, love the pace of play where each game is only a few minutes long. This is the perfect type of game of a handheld like the PSP.
If you’ve never played the original Worms game, you’re not missing out. This game offers everything the original had and more. Fun, turn based game-play where the object is to eliminate the opposing army using an of your various arsenal of weapons.
