Unlike the first one this one lets you go almost anywhere you want to go, but some areas are locked out for story line reasons. There are several online game play modes and they even added a zombie mode for those Resident Evil fans out there, This game gets a 4.7 out of 5.
Love that both the regular game and zombie version is all included. Has a poker player slicky willy suit add on too. I think the controls on it was better on the xbox but either way I LOVE this game. In some ways the original was better but this ones superior. The original one felt like a Clint Eastwood Man with No Name movie and you got to play it. They even used the same music composer from those movies too. This one you can hunt animals, plants and people. Sell whatever you picked or hunted found. Buy housing or rent it out. Go do bounty hunter missions on the side, play games like Texas Hold Em and many other mini games. Even that knife game in the movie Aliens where you try not to stick yourself with a knife, and do a few side missions for other locals. GREAT game! I saw one guys review on how he had to chase chickens or something. Ummmm you have to help out this family who saved your ass from a bounty hunt gone wrong. From there you can stay and finish out that part of the games story line or go off and explore other towns and do s*** there too. You have to play it longer than one mission to get some enjoyment out of it. DUH!
Husband cant stop playing
I haven’t played it yet but watched the gameplay on youtube and it looks great. It’s a popular game with those who know better than I do, with rich textured scenery.
This is by far one of my favorite video games of all time, and that says a lot. I have always been a fan of the Grand Theft Auto series since the first title on Playstation 1. So, I thought I’d give this a try, and boy am I glad I did! It has a fantastic story line, awesome graphics, good voice acting, and a the perfect feel for the old west thanks to the environments, towns, and wildlife. The DLC (which is included in this edition) is just as fun, with new multiplayer missions, challenges, and ZOMBIES (a whole new, comedic story line to intertwine with the regular game). I have spent hours upon end playing this game and would recommend it to anyone! Enjoy!
Great game! One of the best games I’ve ever played. Took a little to get used to the controls – but once I did I enjoyed many hours free roaming the west. And after you’ve beaten it you can play it again with zombies next! A lot harder for sure.
Definite PS3 classic. Rockstar can’t fail. Brilliant story, and the multiplayer is fun. Love that this version has the expansion included. I don’t remember if it included both maps – I already had the Undead Nightmare map from originally purchasing it separately.
Basically grand theft auto in the early 1900s. Max payne/splinter cell conviction shooting style and a cool story make this a awesome addition to anyones game collection. You can also tame and ride the 4 horses of the apocalypse in this game.
This has been by far a most entertaining game. Great storyline, voice acting, environment, and achievements. I have yet to play the Undead aspect of this game, but the original game is one of the best games I have ever played. I eagerly look forward to another Red Dead game by Rockstar.I cannot say any more than previous reviewers have encapsulated on how great of a game it is. Sure there is some repetition in random encounters and some long horse rides, but the game is incredibly addicting.I recommend you buy the game of the year version and have fun!
