Brings back memories. Also, I am not as good as I once was. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the games that require paddles. Difficult to play with a joystick.
I received this days before expected so that was a huge plus! However, i was a little aggravated that there was no hdmi cable or any cable in fact to hook it to the tv right out of the box. Fortunately i had a spare hdmi cable and was able to hook it up right away. So far space invaders and missile command are my favorite throw back games. Most of the games i will never play because they are sooo basic. However, i just read that i may be able to download or update games by using the SD card slot. That could be a huge positive if that is true.
Easy to set up, easy to use, super fun, brings back great childhood memories! Combat, Space Invaders, Basketball, Frogger, and Asteroids were the games I played growing up. They don’t have pacman, but other than that, it’s perfect!
Pretty good little system for the price. I can’t speak to fulfillment, buy my version does have HDMI out. I’ve connected it to a 4K flatscreen and it works quite well. It’s not quite as well done as Nintendo’s nostalgia consoles, but it’s still good. There is no HDMI cable in the box, so you will want to have one ready. retrolio sells them for at low prices. So be prepared there. It does came with two joysticks and the main one is wonderful because it has all the control buttons on it – no needs to get up to push buttons like on the original Atari 2600 (well, switches back then).Game selection is good. While it does not have Pac-Man, it does have great games like River Raid, Pitfall, and Frogger. I’m guessing this keeps the cost down due to licensing. And there is the SD-card slot. What you do with that is up to you.Overall a nice system at a great price. Recommended if you like the era.I would like ATGames to take another run at the ColecoVision with HDMI out and a SD slot as well. I have the original system, but it’d be wonderful to play it this way without needing to plug in various cartridges.
Stayed up all night playing frogger.
