Wizards and Warriors is an NES platform game, and one of the first games made by Rare. It’s fun little game with a simple, addictive gameplay. You basically run around the various levels killing badguys and collecting money and magic items that will help you on your quest to defeat the evil wizard. What’s neat is that the magic items stay with you even if you die (unlike a lot of games where you lose everything when you die). Although this game does give you unlimited continues, it doesn’t have a save game feature (which was rare at the time). However, because of this, the game is fairly short. You can beat it in an hour once you have gotten familiar with it. Although this is a classic game from the 80s, it’s not very well known these days, despite being one of the better games of the era. This means you can often find it at a bargain price. If you like classic NES games, give this a try… it might become one of your favorites!
came much sooner than expected! great experience!
Simply one of the best 8 bit games ever conceived…. Marvelous in nearly every way…A joy to play 20 years ago, and now one of my most fond memories can be relived over and over by owning this gem of a game….W and W is just pure joy….find a copy today! Also, see if you can download the soundtrack… the music in this (and part 2) is REALLY well done, and is surprisingly listenable on your ipod or zune….5 stars, all the way!
Todays generation of gamers are exposed to WAY too many sword-slashing adventure/action games on the Playstation 2 and 3, along with the Xbox. It sickens me to see so many games that have the same exact gameplay.Wizards and Warriors, however, was influential back in the days of the NES, and clearly stands above other games from the same time period. That’s because the play control, graphics, and music in the game are all exceptionally good. You won’t have ANY trouble moving your character around the screen. The graphics are on the same level as Super Mario Bros. 3, and the music… well, let’s just say, the music is so good that a rock band actually covered some of the themes. To me that’s proof I’m not the only one who found the music interesting. Other people out there noticed the memorable music, too. Years later, I can still remember a few of the themes. The game throws in a LOT of enemies for you to battle throughout each world you visit, but it’s not like this makes the game difficult. You see, for some reason, the game offers you infinite continues, and you CAN’T DIE unless you simply refuse to hit the continue button. I will never know why they made the game this way.It doesn’t matter, though. Wizards and Warriors is one of the best and most original sword-swinging adventure games you can find for the NES. The fact that the levels you visit are actually giant worlds for you to walk around killing everything in sight, including jumping up high on platforms to.
works

This is the APAC version of the collectors edition of Wizards and Warriors for the PC. It contains all physical bonuses as well, must own for all PC big box collectors and of course it is a classic/DOS era game.
I had this game when I was a kid, great to see you can still get this now.
