Wipeout fan since PlayStation 1 came out. Graphics are smooth and ridiculously precise. Like other raters… would have like to hear some of the older tracks, maybe Sasha xpander, Orbital etc… (Wipeout 3 soundtrack was legendary) No big deal though. Hopefully this reprised version is popular enough to bring this series back to produce new versions.
I have wasted so much money on games. all u needed was astrobot and wipeout. worth buying the vr for. great graphics and feeling like your actually in the cockpit. clear and beautifully clean picture and game play. no one or two levels here. this is an over due enjoyment for the vr
Excellent… Absolutely excellent.Keep in mind if you own Wipeout 2048 on Vita and you have the HD/Fury DLC on there (either because you own the whole game on PS3, or bought it separately) you aren’t getting any new races or tracks or anything. What you are getting is the ability to play it in 4k HDR with an absolutely awesome new soundtrack. I’ve been through HD/Fury and 2048 a couple times already and I STILL find myself re-addicted to this, the racing is just that good, and the game plays so smooth, and IMO the PS4 controller is better than playing this on PS3.Great price as well, if you’re a fan of the series this is a must own. If you haven’t played before theres TONS of hours of awesome racing content here. Worth every penny.
I’ve been playing Wipeout games since the beginning with Wipeout XL being my favorite. I can honestly say that even though this is a combination of previously released games it has certainly become my favorite of the Wipeout franchise. The gameplay from Wipeout 2048 is fast paced and the challenges are incredibly fun.
This was a gift. My friend likes it just as much as the original game he played in college! Now his son loves playing it. Lol
It’s hard to find decent arcade style racing games on the ps4. I’m enjoying it. The only thing I don’t like is having to unlock everything during play through.
If you read reviews of this game online or watch them on youtube, you will not find a single one saying anything but great things for this game on the PSVR. Everybody recommends this as a must have for the PSVR. Beautiful graphics, immersive environments, etc. Even people such as myself with bad motion sickness can play this for hours. If you have PSVR, stop watching the reviews and buy this title. Then download the updates and then get ready for your “Holy S###!†moment.
There are two types of people in this world: People who will say that Wipeout is the greatest racing game of all time, and those who are wrong.Call me a fan.I’ve been playing Wipeout since the PS1 days.I know some people complain that the graphics haven’t improved much. I think they look great. Also, some people have complained that the soundtrack hasn’t changed at all. Well, I’m very glad they haven’t replaced it with pop or rap. That timeless synth beat is still here.Awesome game. Very happy with this purchase.
So I know the game doesn’t require VR, but I got it primarily for its compatibility with VR. It’s a fun and frantic racer that really tests your intuition as well as your reflexes. The VR is clear and you really feel the speed, although it does lead to motion sickness.I’m not a huge fan of racers, but this one is frenetic enough that it holds my attention. It’s a great window into a series of classic games as well as a great option when you’re showing off VR to your unfamiliar friends and family.
IF YOU ARE A GAMER AND DON’T HAVE A PSVR YET, YOU ARE MISSING OUT BIG TIME. PLAYSTATION IS KICKING ASS AND ARE NOT STOPPING TO ASK FOR PERMISSION. THIS GAME ALONE IS WORTH BUYING THE PSVR HEAD SET.
