I’m astounded by the amount of content that Koei was able to cram into this little UMD. It’s a full Warriors title in the older style, before (mostly) all the characters were redesigned. It plays well, looks decent and even has English voiced dialogue. The ability structure and 3 character teams are still in place, with new dream missions and special weapon enhancing items added into the originals’ formula. The only minor gripes I have with this game are the long load times (understandable) and a slight learning curve for timing your button presses so that you’ll execute the right charge attack in a combo. Other than that, worth every penny!!
Excellent adition to any psp collection. One of the better psp titles.
If you’re like me, the most attractive thing about the PSP is it is essentially a portable PS2; as such, I like to have games that are quality play experiences that I can also take with me and start and stop when I want. Warriors Orochi 2 is just the thing – if you are a fan of the Samurai Warriors or Dynasty Warriors franchises by Koei, Warriors Orochi 2 is a worthy successor of both.I have played Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors games on a number of platforms (PS2, PS3, PSP) and, in general, loved the PS2 and PS3 versions. This is identical to Warriors Orochi Z, which was only released in Japan for PS3. Unlike our 360 and ps2 version, you get the very welcome Japanese voice option, additional costumes, and a few extra characters. The graphics are lacking, but the replay value is incredibly high if you like to level up and collect things! This works well for psp.
