It came with the manual and even the little pamphlet with coupons for the konami shop they throw in at release. Granted, it was expired by the time I ordered the game, but I admire the commitment to keeping the package exactly as it was purchased. Great condition for the disc. The box is good. Definitely a good buy.
This is a great hack and slash game that follows the exploits of Raiden following the events of Metal Gear Solid 4. The gameplay is fast paced and one that is both challenging and fun. Completionists will enjoy multiple playthroughs on increasing difficulty levels as well as a VR training mode which is "OK" but could have been developed and expanded more. As of November 2013, the two side story DLC packs on at least the Xbox 360 version, are free to download. This game is a great value for the price!
I have been a fan of Metal Gear and hack/slash games like Devil May Cry for a long time. This game essentially matches up both of them and really churns out a fun experience. The action here is top notch to where you can precisely slice up enemies in the most satisfying ways. The difficulty is a bit rough at time but once you overcome some tough bosses, it is very rewarding. This also adds some elements to the Metal Gear Solid storyline as it follows more of Raiden’s story(which for some that may be a great thing!) I always like the cyber ninja aspect of him from Metal Gear Solid 4 and it was great to take up the action. One of the other standouts for this game is the absolutely amazing soundtrack. Each of the bosses has a unique theme with vocals and it really added to the experience. There are additional difficulties and unlockables that are usually seen in Metal Gear games so there is the addition of replay value as well.
A true must play for any fan of the Metal Gear series or fans of great action.now the game may be a little on the short side but don’t let that turn you away. It has fantastic action, a decent storyline, great visuals, and on top of all that it has epic boss battles set to the pace of outstanding music!5 stars out of 5 for me!If you haven’t already tried this game out pick it up as soon as you can, I guarantee you will not be disappointed, because it truly is a gem.
I’ve only recently got into the Metal Gear series a few months ago, beating MGS1 and 2, and now playing through MGS3 and Peace Walker. That being said, this game looked really interesting, so naturally I wanted to give it a try. Metal Gear Rising is a very over-hated game due to how different it is, as well as it featuring the fanbase’s least favorite character, Raiden. These are pretty biased reasons, and I for one really enjoyed this title. It may not be as stealth-oriented, but it still has that Metal Gear feel to it, with the similar sense of humor, breaking of the fourth wall, and lengthy cutscenes. There’s plenty of references to the old games here, so you still feel like you’re in familiar territory when playing. Gameplay-wise, it has a lot of fast-paced action similar to that of Devil May Cry or Bayonetta (it is a Platinum Game, after all). Nonetheless, this is not your average hack-and-slash beat ’em up game. This game will hand you your ass if you don’t master techniques such as blocking, countering, and precision slashes. The story follows Raiden after the end of MGS4, a few years later. You fight against a new Patriot group called the Winds of Destruction and uncover conspiracy much like the past Metal Gear games. Controls are pretty tight once you get used to them, and my only real complaint is that some of the regular enemies are pretty broken, particularly the ones that have several unblockable attacks. All in all, if you didn’t like Raiden in MGS2, you might e.
Amazing this game delivers a wealth of combat that will keep you off ps4 and xbox one for a while! Best value and one blockbuster game buy it before xbox 360 prices rise this game delivers!
Graphics are OK Story is absurd Very fun GameplayWhen I say story is absurd I mean it they had to be at drugs when they were coming up with the story of this game.
I bought this game on a whim, remmebring how much I loved Metal Gear Solid for the PS1 in 1998. Although I have not played a single Metal Gear game since that time, the memories return strong with this game. Just the aura of Metal Gear, including the "suprise!" sound effects is amazing. The gameplay is not stealth, it’s all action, where you’re running around the screen very quickly and ripping your opponents to shreds, very similar to Ninja Gaiden 2.In the era of FPS and downright predictable games, this is a sleeper hit, and I strongly recommend it to anyone, INCLUDING those who loved the orignal Metal Gear Solid game from years ago.MUST BUY!!!
Let me start off by saying that I was very hesitant in preordering this. I don’t like to pay full price for games without getting to play them first, and while I did play the demo I was unsure of how representative it would be of the final product. That being said, this game is absolutely fantastic and worth every penny. One of the best action games I’ve played in a very long time. I don’t regret my purchase at all. The codec conversations definitely give it the feel of a normal Metal Gear game. The characters are mostly all enjoyable, particularly Doktor, Blade Wolf and Raiden himself. The combat is incredibly fun, especially once you learn to use the skills you can unlock (there aren’t any lists or tutorials included, but this actually lends to you learning your own style). Very addicting. I’m starting a second playthrough tonight.
The game is kind of short clocking in at about 5 hours but has some good free dlc and tons of replayability the game has some insane visuals and excellent game mechanics this game got me into the metal gear lore cannot recommend it enough PS the package was in perfect condition
