It’s Valkyrie Profile (the good one) in all it’s glory, only portable. If you happen to have the misfortune of owning a PSP, this will turn that into a rather pleasant surprise. For reasons unknown to me, Valkyrie Profile is unavailable on the PS Vita, so this is literally the only way to play it portably, and the only other way you can play this game is owning the (rather expensive) PSX copy.The game itself is awesome, although dated, with enjoyable combat and well voiced characters. It’s an adventure you actually want to go through multiple times to enjoy all of the various paths and alternate endings.
This game is amazing, its fun and its something that I missed during the Era of the PS1. However now you have a chance to enjoy this fine game and all its glory.
Always wanted to play the PS1 game, but it’s so expensive. This has some extra content and all the original. Definitely lots of fun. Wish they would have kept going, the 2nd game is great too

Valkyrie Profile was an RPG that came out during the later days of the PSX. While it never achieved massive success, it went on to become an RPG classic and has garnered a very loyal following.Fast forward to 2006, and we see the re-release of this awesome RPG for the PSP. However, don’t make the mistake of writing this off as a plain old port.Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth includes “new” high quality CG movies that help immerse you in the story. The graphics consist of highly detailed sprites on pre-rendered backgrounds; when seen on the vivid PSP screen, it just makes the game look downright beautiful. Some of the combos are just awesome to look at.The battle system is a mix of real-time and turn-based fighting that is surprisingly intuitive; newcomers and old pro’s will have no problem getting used to it. At first glance, it might look simple, but as you progress through the game, you’ll find a depth to it that makes it quite fun.The main story, itself, is very well developed…even if this RPG doesn’t follow the traditional linear way of telling it. One of the things I enjoyed most about this game is the character “episodes” you see when you collect a new soul to help in the battle to save Valhalla.If you enjoy RPGs, or feel adventurous enough…I highly recommend you buy this game. It’s definitely a must have PSP game.
Love it is one of the best games for PSP
Where to begin. As stated in other reviews. The price tag you can pick up Valkryie Profile for around 30 bucks for the psp. If you’re lucky 100 for the ps 1. So price wise great move by sony bringing back a classic. Taking it to the psp means i can take it where ever I go. I’ve heard the gripe about long load times. I’ve never encountered the problem. Maybe it’s their psp’s or could be their copies of the game. My psp loads this game faster than my PSone did when i rented the game when it was out. I’m a fan of cinematic cutscenes. So if you’re not a fan of them you’re in for a bit of frustration. I noticed nice cut scenes that i thought brought alot more flavor to the game. Such as the Jelanda/Demon scene. If you’re not up for detailed scenarios this game isn’t for you. There is a bit of hack and slash but there’s much more storylines to be had. This game is the same as Valkryie Profile for the PSone there is no additional story to Lenneth. If you haven’t played it for PSone or PSP and love RPG’s this is a must grab. If you have rented it or don’t have it for PSone anymore i’d reccomend just picking up this for 30 bucks for your psp. Sure I love a full screen game. I loved the detail of Lenneth’s special attack on a tv screen it was more detailed but i’d rather pay psp price than 100 and some bucks just for that.

Anyone who is an Enix fan will find this game to be satisfying. I never played the original on the PSX, to be honest, I only bought it because it said Square on the cover, but I was pleasantly surprised with the game. The voice acting is decent, the FMVs are pretty awesome, and the gameplay itself is involving. I love the idea of a 2D dungeon crawl with RPG-style fights. I love the Norse Mythology theme, and I love the open ended style of the game. All in all, it’s a great distraction from the same old RPG.
