Was looking for something new for the pool. Saw the reviews and gave it a shot. You fill the ball with water from the hose then put in pool. (Our of the water they ball is super heavy) Hard to explain but the ball doesn’t sink or totally float. It is suspended just under the water if you leave it. Fun to try to bounce or dribble on pool floor. Also able to pass underwater with a good push. Kids love it and it’s fun to make up random games with it. Seems like really good quality heavy duty. Highly recommended for the weird fun watermelon ball!
I first saw this at a neighbors pool. Their three boys was having a blast with it. The I realized that their father had it and was doing all kinds of things with it. Dribbling it on the bottom, off the walls and doing exercises with it. So I had to get one for my three grand boys. The grand boys dad said that it has been non stop play with it. They have come up with several creative games to play with the Watermelon. Get It, You’ll Like It!
I purchased the watermelon ball for the pool facility where I work. We were having our opening we had games for different age groups, I thought it would be great for the older kids and it was a hit!!! Kids all ages play with it, it is one of the first things they ask for now. The quality is good seems very tough I had a bit of a problem filling it but when I hooked it up outside it was easy.
we enjoy this ball. It’s very heavy outside of the water and if thrown at someone can hurt but it bounces on the bottom of the pool and is fun. The water moves around on the inside even when totally full making it hard to hold onto…. heavy and weight shifting on you, add in wet hands… it can be hard for kids to hold on to. It floats
This is a cool pool toy/exercise thing. We like to use it as a canon ball,medicine ball, or try to pass it underwater. Has survived 2 seasons very well and should survive several more. Suggestions: don’t leave it in pool and don’t empty it. I’m sure chlorine and UV will damage it in time. We put in storage chest when not in use or in the house at the end of the season.
As someone who’s owned a pool for over 20 years, I’ve tried a lot of pool toys. This one stands out as new and different. First off, when filled with water it is very heavy. You want to fill it near the pool and not try to take it with you somewhere unless you drain it first. This is great news for families whose balls tend to end up over the fence – the ball definitely stays put in the water. It moves more slowly than a traditional ball, but you really can bounce it against the bottom of the pool and pass it back and forth to a friend. Kicking it also works, but since it slowly rises to the surface timing is everything. I can’t speak to it’s durability over time yet, but it seems study.
I bought this item for our pool for the summer but also had my daughter’s 8th grade graduation in mind. We had about 12 kids at the party between 8-14 and they all loved it! I highly recommend.
Absolutely a great time. This underwater ball bounces underwater and you can pass it underwater. We had so much fun with this and we’re on our second season. I highly recommend it for all ages. It is so much fun trust me.
I purchased this thinking it would lose appeal quickly. But it is so much freaking fun! Over a few weeks of use, it never lost its appeal with adults and kids. Countless games can be made up with it. I can’t really explain it – just buy one and see for yourself!Also, we were pretty rough with it and it’s still standing up to our abuse
Purchased this ball for an Easter present for my son. He loves it. We live in Florida and have been in the pool using it almost every day. The ball is really neat in that I can toss it to him under the water and it glides through the water perfectly. When he doesn’t catch it it will lay on the floor of the pool until he gets to it. Would recommend it if your looking into having fun in tour pool.
