Great game, combat is quicker than Monster hunter and it has a lock on feature so your not just slashing the air for hours. Has a Dynasty warrior feel to it since it takes place in japan. As an added bonus there are even cut scenes between every couple of missions which is great and there seems to be more of a story than in the monster hunter games.

I’m a huge Monster Hunter fan, so naturally I love this. Honestly, I like this more than Monster Hunter. In Toukiden, one fights giant monsters in the same way one does in MH. The difference it, there’s a bit more variety in attack in this game. Also, instead of dealing with items, you collect Mitama, which are warrior spirits, which kind of become your battle inventory. Except instead of just being various potions, they’re skills. The only complaint I have is that, for there being 200 different Mitama in this game, there’s not much variety amongst them… Their passive skill sets are pretty diverse, but the active skills are all the same for each Mitama type. That said, this game still pretty much owns my life. Highly recommend.
i’ve got about 30 hours sunk into this game now. granted i was pretty sick and had a bad week, so got to stay home playing the game a lot. it was by choice that i put that much time in.overall if you’re not into boss hunting genre games, maybe look up some video and reviews first.but if you love games like monster hunter, etc, check this one out!!!easily one of the most beautiful games i’ve seen on vita. and the gameplay is nice and quick.i sometimes hope on for 15 minutes and do a mission online or offline, or end up playing for an hour or two.you end up killing similar or the same monsters / grinding a bit. if you’re not into that stuff, this genre of games probably isn’t for you.go look up some reviews though. game is awesome!!!lots of friendly players online too. i’ve had no trouble playing with people overseas when i stay up super late :Padd me – PSN – ehafh /toukiden in game name – hugdealer
It’s like a mix of Monster Hunter and Dynasty Warriors. I do with that you could learn new fighting moves the further you get into the game though.
I really like this game. It’s like Monster Hunter for the Vita. You make a character and do missions. The missions are mostly fetch quest and slaying quests. The boss battles are exciting and the game is surly challenging. The character creator is not super detailed but the graphics are better than a PS2 game.This game is fun but if you are really into Monster Hunter you might as well stick with that series.
I’ve never played a Monster Hunter game but I do know that this is a perfect, addictive and quick on-the-go game. Favorite game on the Vita so far!

Great game! You will love it if you play games like Monster Hunter,Soul Sacrifice,Etc. Or if you’re a big fan of the creators of Dynasty Warriors I recommend giving this amazing game a shot! :-)
