I’m about 20 hours into playing, and I’m sort of bored with it. I play alone, so that’s probably part of the problem, but it just seems like the gameplay isn’t very… nuanced, or deep. I’m usually a Battlefield player, so I’m used to a lot of team strategy and planning, and a variety of ways to play, but in Titanfall, it’s very easy to space out and just:Run and jump towards red dots on your mapFight red dot on your maprepeatThe maps are beautiful and well thought out, the violence is solid and believable, but not over the top or gross, the control system is better than most, and there’s a very distinct lack of "easy kill" weapons. In COD or Battlefield, you get your explosives and rocket launchers that show up in every fight making you feel like an idiot for ever trying to use a rifle, or trying to aim, or whatever, and you get mad after a while and just stop playing. That doesn’t happen in Titanfall. It’s all very well balanced, and pretty much nobody uses anti-titan weapons against pilots. You can take enough damage to enjoy a fight, but not so much that you feel invincible.Overall, it’s fun, and well worth the price, considering that even if you get bored at 20 hours like I have, it’s still 20 hours of entertainment for $60.
Only played a couple of games but was having fun the whole time. A lot of room for customizing your setup for your own gaming style.
At first I thought titanfall xb360 would be nothing compared to the xb1 version. I was wrong, the game has beautiful graphics and it is very easy to play. Yes, there is some lag, but the game is so fast paced, you wont even notice.Pros-Easy to play- Great Graphics- Cheaper than Xb1, and almost identical- Very funCons- Some lag- Not a Wide Variety of guns
This game is really fast paced. I love it. I actually played for a while…got tired of it and sold it. I bought it again several months later and am having just as much fun NOW as I did when I first played. This game is great. Can’t wait for Titanfall 2.
My 12 y/o LOVES this game. Can’t get enough of it. Good thing summer is almost over! He plays this game almost nonstop from the moment he gets up until he goes to football practice. Then again when he gets home. I have to go in and fight with him to get his work around the house done and the dog walked!
Giant robots. Advanced warfare technology. When you combine the two, you get great battles! The multiplayer is rather good! You get a ton of different weapons and skills that you can use. Only downfall is that there isn’t a devoted single player mode/campaign. Other than that, you’ll get hours of fun with this game!
I remember seeing this game at E3 last year and thinking it’s just another generic COD game with a gimmick on top of it and payed no attention to it for months. Then once the betas came out I saw some gameplay and it came across as a totally new type of FPS compared to COD/Battlefield. After watching more and more videos I really liked how the Titans fit into the game (not too powerful and there aren’t any killstreaks or criteria you have to meet to get a Titan.) Since I don’t have an Xbox One yet I figured I’d look at the 360 gameplay to get an idea of how "bad" it would look. Some of the comparison videos may make it seem that it is horrible but I was very impressed with the 360’s version of Titanfall when I saw it on my TV. It does have occasional screen tearing (although no where near as bad or noticeable as BF3 on PS3 if you remember that.)I bought the game during a sale for $37 and without a true campaign mode and no offline capabilities I don’t recommend paying any more than that for it.The gameplay is great, feels much smoother compared to any COD and for anyone that has played COD or other similar games you’ll catch on pretty quick. You do have to play through a mandatory 20 minute training session as soon as you start the game which pretty much covers everything you can do in this game and all the features in it compared to a standard FPS. I caught on pretty quick and as soon as you start playing it you’ll appreciate the map design, look and feel of the envi.
Good quality and a very good price
i preordered this, and retrolio was supposed to give you a credit for preordering it or something? i can’t remember, it was so long ago and i never left a review…. but i remember not getting a credit, so i complained to retrolio, and they gave me a partial credit.anyways, it was a fun game while it lasted. it got pretty repetitive, but still fun. but i stopped playing after the next generation (prestige) requirement was to kill a buncha people with a gun that i hated. it made the game super annoying having to use that gun that i didn’t even like playing anymore, so i went back and played with different guns that i liked and stopped regenerating. and eventually stopped playing all together.i look forward to titanfall 2
I bought this game hoping for something a little new from the shooter genre, and it really has found a way to do that. To start, it’s a gorgeous game, I’m sure the 360 may be a little behind the One, but the graphics are still beautiful. Next, the flow of the game play is smooth. Even when operating a Titan, which seems as though it’d be clunky, the movement is very fluid. The pacing of the game is what I’m most impressed by. By throwing a few extra AIs into an online multiplayer match, you not only get some much needed support if you stick with them, but get some extra enemies to frag as you wall run along the map. The extra characters make each match seem fuller, and keep you constantly on the attack and defensive, so that you don’t ever feel like you’re jogging across a map just to get to the action. The rate at which your Titan falls is perfectly timed, and the fact that that time is shortened with every kill just further immerses you into the game. If you’re fan of the first person shooter, but getting a little bored with the current formula, Titanfall is for you.
