This is one of my favorite games. The career mode is fun, the inclusion of famous retired players is great, and gameplay is fluid and easy to learn.
I liked it a lot. It can get a little bit complicated at the beginning but I strongly recommend it.
top spin 4 is by far the best tennis game on the 360. everything is done perfectly and the players hit just like in real life. you wont find a better tennis game. the only bad thing is that there are only about 15 real life players in the game, everyone else is made up. but you still get the elites
Great and Improved. This is the first tennis game next to Smash Court Tennis and the original Top Spin on Xbox. It fun and plays great.The servers and shots are great. Still the ball boys do not move(they should have just erased them of the screen)The roster is deep even though I will miss Tomás Berdych on this Game. It’s much better than Top Spin 3.I know because I have been playing tennis video games for a long time (all of them). Too bad it does not have challenge calls and I assume it does not have clouds or weather like Smash Court Tennis 3. The game Smash Court Tennis 3 is in the middle of arcade and real. Top Spin 4 plays like real Tennis. I will assume again that Virtua Tennis 4 will be arcade mode. To be honest, I am not that much of a tennis nut. All my knowledge around tennis is solely based on whatever ESPN airs whenever a big “Open” tournament is on. Other than that, every once in a while I watch some game re-runs off from the tennis channel. Although I am not a great fan of the sport, I do like it and I found that via video game form I could maybe learn a bit more of this sport. Overall the game is enjoyable. At first it has a bit of a steep learning curve if played on any other difficulty other than easy. Once you get a hang of the timing involved behind the shots you can turn up the level of the game up a notch. The career mode is the most enjoyable mode on the game since you feel some accomplishment behind all the hard work you put on your player in order to reach the ultimate goal of playing and winning a Grand Slam tournament. Sometimes the game pairs you up with someone that is way over your skill level, but then again, that’s how tournaments works after all. The only complaint that I have for this is that it feels that it does not have all that many playable tennis players. Other than this it felt that the game only had 2-3 music tracks, all of which constantly looped over and over again until you knew the lyrics after an hours play of the game. Apart from this, the game was an overall enjoyable experience and I would recommend it to those who want to dip their feet into the world of tennis and those that are already fans of the sport/
Hubby wanted this game so bad, and it’s so damn hard to find it here in Brazil. Cousin brought it to me, Hubby is thrilled!
The best game for tennis lovers . Would recommend for first time players and hase real life stadiums. Love to make my own player. Should definitely try.

If I had paid $100 for this game, I’d consider it a great purchase. So well done and as fun/engaging a game as I’ve ever played. As a tennis player myself, I find it plays very true to real life while not obsessing over simulation to the point of making it not fun. Just really impressed with this game!
