This is how you make a remaster. All of the stages are here but remade to modern times which is such an awesome nostalgia trip. At the school level you can read the bulletin board to see lovely messages about it being closed due to covid and to stay safe, a nice touch in these times. The mall has been revamped from a break in to the mall be abandondd because people dont shop at malls anymore. The taxis in the city levels are really out to get you. Youll also find the original tracks as well as more. I love the inclusion of hip hop and rock songs. All of them are bangin. The create a skater isn’t super duper in depth but they have good base choices and none of the clothing or styles are gender locked. You can unlock clothing and boards for further customization. There’s also a build a park mode, but I view it as optional. Free skate is here, local co-op is here. Online mode is pretty fun too. There’s a jam mode for fun and a competitive mode. Jam takes you to the different levels that are good for 8 players or so. You do timed challenges like combo mambo, highscore, graffiti and move onto the next stage. You earn some money this way to buy in game items. I haven’t seen any micro transactions. This is purely like earning coins in mario odyssey to unlock hats. New challenges have been added to the stages along with all the original ones but not too many that you get over whelmes. Even if you 100 percent a level there’s still reason to go back to do a seperate list of personal c.
I tried it for about an hour yesterday. I’m very happy with it so far. If you’re a fan of the originals then you’ll like this.
Exactly like the originals with nice modern additions
greatest skate game ever
I was a huge fan of THPS 1 & 2 which came out when I was in high school, but I never played any of the later games. Now that I’m an adult and I saw these two games available as a remake for PS4 I had to have them! As soon as I started playing I was immediately brought back to my childhood, busting out big airs and grinds and hunting down challenges to unlock the later courses. My fingers remember some of the movements, but I am all thumbs now so I spend a lot more time on the ground than I remember. Hopefully as I make my way through the game things start coming back to me and I can start knocking out multi-million point combos like I did back in the day!Whether you played these games in the past or not, if you’re at all interested in the best skateboarding game ever made don’t hesitate to give the THPS 1&2 remake a try, I’m so glad I did!
THPS is one of those games that you can’t stop playing for weeks. I remember the first day that I bought it, I played until midnight and then remembered I had to go to school the next day and stopped. That day I couldn’t learn, I just was thinking about playing the game. Finally, 287 hours later, the bell rang and I ran home. I didn’t do my homework, told my mom that I didn’t have any, got some popcorn, soda and chips, and went to my room and played the game until midnight again, the same thing happened all week. The reason for this happens is simple, the game is near perfect, no wait, I’ll re-frase, it IS PERFECT! The graphics are good, tricks are very well-done, levels are all fun, the pros you can be are good choices, and the soundtrack is so wicked awesome. I also think that the plot was good, and how many sports games have plots? Yeah, like NONE! And when you beat the game, instead of saying, "Okay, what do I do know?" you say something like "Whew! that was sick! I want to go and check out that huge gap in the Downhill Jam level."So, if you like Tony Hawk, get this game. If you like skateboarding, get this game. If you like skateboarding video games, get this game. If you like sports games, get this game. If you don’t like skateboarding, get this game. If you don’t like sports games get this game. If you like or don’t like anything I just mentioned, get this game. That means, anybody, everbody! If you can hear me, go Get Tony Hawk’s Pro Sk.
I played the original A LOT back in 1999, and loved the series ever since, even though it has had less then stellar games later in the series. Now I did not play much of the original THPS 2, but what I did play, I enjoyed. Now here comes the remake / remaster, and I’m in love with it all over again. It’s just a fun game to play, with a lot of great music, fun locations to skate, and a whole lot of nostalgia packed into it as well. Only things I don’t like is the split screen had frame drops, while the single player is smooth. Also, and this isn’t taking anything away from the game, but it’s the lack of some skaters. I wanted Bam Margera in here, Mike Vallely just to name a couple. Anyway it’s worth a buy. I hope they do THPS 3 and 4 next. 3 is my favorite one in the series, so that would be awesome.
Extremely nostalgic. I’m in love with this game already. Hope ps4 does more classic remakes.
i have always loved this gam and when i was looking around and found it on retrolio it was the best day ever found it on fair game inc and they had shipped it faster then i thought i would get it
