I held off purchasing a game console since retiring my original Nintendo back in 1992. The XBox and all its games are truly AWESOME. THPS2X has great graphics, action, realism, and 5.1 surround sound. It’s challenging enough to keep me coming back for more. Lots of hidden areas and goodies. Although it’s rated "T" for teens, our entire family loves it: from 7 to 38 years old. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
This remake of the second Tony Hawk game was a pretty good buy. However I noticed a couple of bad things. The game features three story modes, the original Tony Hawk’s pro skater 2 story mode, a 2x story, and the Tony Hawk’s pro skater 1 story mode. It also features the ability to create female skaters in the create mode. I noticed that you can not use the color white in the editor. Some more new features include new levels that can be unlocked along with the skater Trixie which was only available in the nintendo 64 edition of the original game. Also, as you play you’ll obviously see that it is rebuilt in stunning HD. I also noticed that it has the same songs in the game Tony Hawk’s pro skater HD. It has classic gameplay and the same levels you remember and love. It has hours of fun gameplay with tons of unlockables including characters, boards, levels, outfits and more! I highly reccomend this over Tony Hawk’s pro skater HD for it’s similar features with more content. THHD beats 2x graphics wise, however I would buy this over THHD, especially if you never played the original Tony Hawk’s pro skater 2. I hope this review helped and good luck on your next purrchase!

Excellent game for anyone who enjoys skateboarding games or is nostalgic for the old tony hawk games from the ps1 era. It has the first and second game in it and looks great plus a few new features and skate parks like dlc content but already included in the 2x content

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 holds a very special place in my childhood; I recall spending hours on my N64 playing this game, and then moved on to the Gamecube where I spent even more time on Pro Skater 3 – Underground 2. I bought THPS2x mostly because I now game on the Xbox 360 – and since this game is backwards compatible with the 360, it’s awesome to relive the THPS1 AND 2 experience. Graphics are more refined on this version than the N64, and there’s a few bonus levels which are fun to skate around in. THPS2 is arguably one of the more revolutionary games in the Skateboarding genre because of the Manual functionality, and being able to re-live the original THPS experience with this added functionality makes a classic even better. Considering how cheap this is – if you’re a fan of skating games, this is a must own in your collection. It’s too bad this is an Xbox exclusive though, it would certainly be something to play the THPS1 portion of this game with a Dualshock.
i think that this game is great, cause if u dont have thps2, which i didnt get cause i was gonna get this version, (…) check for your self. so my oppinion, get both.
I bought this game from funcoland thinkin it was going to be great, I was soooooo wrong, it is AWESOME!!!!!!!! It is basically THPS 1 & 2 in one and some extras in there, i mean literally, both in one game, all the levels. I love this game and i will never dis it.
