Don’t get me wrong. I love this game. It’s fun to play and with any kind of wind it’s even hard to compete. The only thing I don’t like about the game is the advise you get from your caddy when you are putting. Most of the time it makes no sense to me. If I use the advise as stated I would never sink a putt. The instructions do not clearly explain how to read the screen for putts. If I could figure this out I would drop my score by several strokes.I guess the same can be said for my real golf agme. Drive for show, Putt for dough.
How anybody could complain about the graphics,backgroundor foreground,is beyond me.You people must be hooked upto some ancient t.v.’s.These are some of the best graphicsIve seen yet.In fact,this game has redeemed EA,in my eyes.So smooth and the colors are sharp with great resolution.They definitely did it right for XBOX owners this time,muchbetter than NEED FOR SPEED2.When I unlocked Black Cove andthe Scottish Highlands,my brain was assaulted and promptly exploded!Unreal sweeping vistas over looking the ocean and blood redand azure blue skies in sharp detail.Play this game when you’remad,and disaster is sure to follow.Play it with the right attitude and you will pull off some amazing victories,no matterhow tough the A.I. is.This is the best golf game ever made andI don’t see how they’ll ever top it.A must have.Rent it and Igaurantee you’ll be headed up to the store.
Gimme a break. Those of you with complaints (Jeremy), you say this game is so unrealistic and that its way too easy to beat your opponent, then you say how tough it is to judge distances when putting? Come on. First of all, if you had any common sense, you could judge the distances by the width of the cup. Since a cup is about 4.25 inches in diameter, you can use that to measure other distances. And of course on longer puts its gonna be harder to judge…if it werent, people (in the game and real life), would be sinking 50ft putts as easy as they do 3ft putts.Bottom line, this is the most realistic golf game ever. Instead of the traditional 3-click method of swinging (where there is a meter that fills), you get a real analog swing. You actually pull back on the joystick until you get to the top of the swing, then you follow through. If you dont do it straight, you will slice or hook. As for you not being able to judge your power, you have to just guess (like real golf).Please, if you are going to complain about a game, get your story straight. Either you like it because its realistic, or you dislike it because its unrealistic. Dont make contradictory points.This game will blow you out of the water. With better graphics than any other golf game made, better players, most realistic play and graphics, sounds, and some great (non-realistic) effects, you will be amazed and happy you bought it (unless you have some complaints that you cant win because you’re not good en.

This game first off, is great. Their are many options to choose from including speed golf, creating your own course (which is a compiler of the different holes), and simulation golf against another pro. There are many great golfers in this game including a unlockable modified version of Woods, appropriately named Super Tiger. Then there are challenges, more of mini games, like target practice, and other challenges. The game features multiple courses all beautifully rendered with the games graphic engine. The graphics are beautifull, the motion capture makes swings look realistic, and even the signature fist pump after sinking a long par put. The game is great, even if you already own the 2002 version of the game.
having played tiger woods 04,05,06,07,08,09,10,and 20011 i can honestly say tiger woods has gone down every year and gotten worse.this was the last game that ea made where it was great to play tiger woods.the 04 version changed the puting so you have to use both left and right thumbsticks to put the left one for how long you want the ball to go and the right one to control the left or right which is stupid because the green controls where the ball shold go not the player.if there is a slope going to the left the ball will go left so you need to move the ball more to the right and not control the way the ball moves witht he right thumbstick.this is just one of many things tiger woods has changed over the years to make this franchise worse and worse.by 2010 and 2011 the controls to control hitting it on the fairway are ridiculous.you move the thumbstick just ever so slightly and you miss the fairway bigtime.the menus are terrible too.ok now for the review on this game.apart from other reviewers who hate the heartbeat i love it.this gamne is indeed very addicting.i have played it a million times and i have yet to tire of it like i do the 2010 and 2011 versions.there is a saying dont fix what aint broke.well ea changed too many things and made this game worse and worse and this was the last good version of this game.they also ruined fight night round 4 and should have left it like fight night round 3.
This game is truly a game that is fun for the whole family. I enjoy the aspect that you know the percentage of the game that you have completed so that you have an idea of what it will take to completely MAX out the game. Great Job EA SPORTS!!!
If you like golf and have at least half of a brain, then buy this game. The gameplay takes a little getting used to, but once you have it mastered it is very rewarding and fun. The graphics are second to none and the ambient sound makes you feel like you’re on an actual course. There are real golfers(Howell, Monty, Tiger, O’Meara, Jesper to name a few) and some outrageous fictional characters to unlock. The cutscenes when you hit a good shot are very cool as well as the sound of a heartbeat when an important shot is at hand. You will not find a more addicting golf sim/game.
I ordered Tiger Woods PGA Tour from Babk Nabati through retrolio.com. I previously placed a review with retrolio.com about this game, and getting the game in the wrong format. I did not give a real good review. I was to hasty in this review. I thought I had ordered this game in the PS2 format. I did not. I accidently ordered the XBOX format. Babak Nabati has been very helpfull in getting the PS2 game to me. They should get 5 stars not 2. I should have ordered the correct format.
I can’t help but write a response to the guy from newyork who said this game is got bad graphics and is blurred, Maybe you got a bad disc becauuse this games graphics are graet and nobody else including me seems to have the same veiw. My advice buy it it’a the best golf game ever.Tiger woods rules the xbox golfing games big time.
