Great graphics. Concert venues and studio dreamscapes are impressive. Story mode is short, because you only need to pass each song once to move on. There are plenty of unlockables and trophies though to extend the experience. Difficulty is easy to moderate, except for the vocals which can be more challenging. Beatles fanatics may be annoyed by the lack of strict historical accuracy (Ringo plays drums here on Back in the USSR! Let It Be songs come last even though Abbey Road was actually recorded after it!) I wasn’t though. More songs would have been nice, but the selection here is a good representation of the Beatles entire career.
Like everything released under the Beatles brand, this special edition of Rock band leads the rest of the pack.The whole package feels like they took their time and got it right.I played the game first all the way through solo on lead guitar, then played it through with friends who basically stuck to one member of the band, occasionally swapping instruments for fun. Both times, I enjoyed it immensely.I can’t honestly think of any other band that could keep me interested the whole way through the game – the music is just that diverse and consistently excellent. At times, you are reminded of just how mind blowing some of this material can be.As with every Beatles branded product, the attention to mixing and sound quality is outright superb. Many of the ‘clanger’ noises to indicate that the player has faulted have been softened or omitted in this version, out of respect to not distracting too much from the music. It’s a lesson to other editions of Rock Band and Guitar Hero – you don’t need to overdo the extraneous sounds to convey the game play. The ‘No Fail’ mode is great too, as in many groups of four players, there is usually a weak one who doesn’t want to feel that they are screwing everyone else’s good time.Having said that, the game has been made much easier than other editions of Rock band and I assume the intention was i) to appeal to a more general audience than hard core gamers, ii) to let kids play and iii) to act as an introductory experience to Rock band games.As fo.

Just what I expected and works great
The Beatles: Rock Band is the best rock band game in the Rock Band game franchise and I recommend it to all old school Beatles fans and music gamers today who are interested into knowing more about The Beatles. After playing this game, I literally couldn’t stop listening to Beatles music. This game got most of the details on their music career correct. From the Caverns in 1963, to Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, to Shea Stadium in 1965, to Bokuden in 1966, and to their last live performances together at the Apple Corps Rooftop in 1969. Plus songs between 1966-1969 that show them playing in the studio have very unique, colorful, creative and thematic dreamscapes which are just beautiful. Harmonix has made a masterpiece that brings great tribute to one of the greatest rock bands in the sixties.
So i got beatles finally last night, and earned the hard days night trophy in one sitting (the one you get from starting a tour and finishing the game in less than 24 hours), overall i thought the game graphics were excellent especially the studio stuff, i often missed notes because i was looking up. Track list is great, but there are some great songs missing, like “help” as well as some others. The price point is also a problem for me as i thought 40 songs for full price was a little steep (but i got the game for free as a gift so the price point was perfect for me). the promise of downloadable content is a plus because im sure some of the songs you might want are missing. Another issue i have is not being able to import the songs or use them in rock band 2 (while i have some pretty good drunk rock band nights i know i dont have that many beatles fans as friends who want to play just them) an option to import or a similar disc swap option as singstar would be a welcome addition. Overall the game is fantastic and should be played even if your not a beatles fan (hell im not and i liked it) the little snippets between the songs is great and the imagery is fantastic. Also its great to see a person who has never heard the beatles try to sing “picture yourself on a boat in an ocean with tangerine trees” and not look at you and either laugh or got wtf were they thinking writing lyrics like that.
