So, I’ve been looking forward to this game ever since the initial previews for it came out. The original Parasite Eve was one of my favorite games of all time, and I couldn’t understand why Squaresoft wasn’t pursuing a sequel to the series. In fact, I bought a PSP just so I could play this and Final Fantasy Tactics. So let’s get down to it.If you’re a diehard Parasite Eve fan, this game is somewhat of a letdown. First of all, the story is horrific and has absolutely no relevance to the prior Parasite Eves. Now granted, Squaresoft stated that this game isn’t intended to be a sequel of any sorts, but if that is the case they shouldn’t have used Aya Brea as the protagonist. The story is some cobbled together mumbo jumbo about time traveling via Aya’s psyche or some such nonsense. I’m not going to go further into it because there’s not much to say. It’s just really bad. The horrible voice acting doesn’t help at all either. Maeda is now some kind of borderline retarded lecher instead of the super awesome Japanese sidekick he used to be. Even worse, Aya Brea is the most annoying main character I’ve ever seen. She’s the most passive pansy of a hero I’ve ever seen, and not reminiscent at all of the Aya from the Parasite Eve franchise. She constantly looks like she’s about to cry, and most of the time she spoke I just wanted to drop kick her in the face.As for the gameplay, it’s actually not bad. The controls and movement are very fluid and intuitive. Unfortunately, the.
Disappointed in this game – I’m a big fan of the previous titles, but this one just didn’t feel right to me…
It’s not a terrible game, but it’s not great either. The controls at times are stiff, and some sections of certain levels are hard. The action can be intense, but also repetitive. For the PSP, the graphics, sound, and cut scenes are quite good. The sexualization of the main character is quite unnecessary, plus the storyline hardly connects with the Parasite Eve series, if at all.
A bit pricey but for some it should be OK..
It was in good shape, and played wonderfully with no hiccups. The story is enthralling so far!
This game was alright when I first bought it, but at times their can be cheap deaths and it takes a minute for your health to automatically regenerate. You can mix DNA’s together to upgrade your status and skills. What nice about your special is that you can shoot multiple times which is an awesome feature. Other than that this game got boring at the end. I didn’t play the others because I didn’t have enough money. I only played for the blood and action/ adventure.
Ehh
An amazing game where you play as a disembodied spirit delving into the bodies of terrified soldiers as they combat deadly monstrosities. You’ll jump from doomed warrior to doomed warrior as you desperately pump bullet after bullet into twisted creatures lunging at you from an unspeakable dimension. And then all that ends & you have to spend an hour repairing your character’s clothes.
Ok so first I would like to say that the graphics are a lot better then what I expected from a PSP game. The game play is challenging at first and a bit confusing if your like me and just play the game without reading the book. But when you get used to it the first 3 difficulties are a walk in the park. The MANY levels of difficulties are great for playing the game through over and over again. The enemies start using different attacks some are instant kills which really gets annoying on the last 3 difficulty levels but it just helps to improve your gaming skills and your bad language skills if you get frustrated after your 3rd death on the same boss/mini boss. Aya’s different outfits she can obtain are all sexy if you have versatile tastes like me. The different weapons and customization options for them are great too. Battle damage to Aya’s clothing is a nice bonus too. I find myself never repairing her armor throughout the entire difficulty. The combat is really nice as every enemy has a weak spot you can snipe well ALMOST every enemy. You also get to enjoy big guns on vehicles(sorry no spoilers). All in all it is a great game to buy and a must have if you have enjoyed playing parasite eve 1 and 2.
I like the video game and good graphics
