Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect. Will definitely keep in mind when ordering future games for my home or others
I have had this game for about 5 or 6 months now, and it has to be one of the best games I’ve ever played, and the best driving game. Great graphics, and tons of places to go. Hundreds of miles to drive all over Oahu, Hawaii. One negative thing is you can only play one person at a time, unless you’re online. Online is ok, but not to great. Not really good at all without a mic. A very wide selection of cars/bikes, with more being added each month available for free download and microsoft points via xbox live marketplace. Can tune almost every car, with the exception of the ones you win by completing all the challenges in a certain type. (i.e. racing, timed, speed). But very fun to do, and takes a while to finish so you’ll be playing for a while, depending on how long you play each day. Another thing I don’t like is that to finish the game depends about maybe 15-25% online. You have to win I think it’s 5, 10 , and 20 races against another players which will take a long time. I havne’t even found anyone to go in a headsup match with me yet. Just unranked matches, that don’t count. You also have to join or create a club, which isn’t hard at all, but there are a few more things you’ll need to do online to finish the game 100%. All in all a GREAT game that you will play a long time. Here’s the list of cars and bikes in game, and available for download via xbox live marketplace. I made this list myself, and there shouldn’t be any missing, unless a new download has b.
got for my bother but love the game myself….
Excellent game.
So far this is my favorite XBox 360 game. I love it. Everyone in my family loves it. I borrowed it from a friend, and then I had to have it. You get to cruise town looking for challenges. You have to unlock roads, shops and challenges by driving past them. There are shops to buy close, and you can even customize every feature of your character’s face. the graphics are great and the gameplay is extremely fun. You can challenge AI cars you meet, or challenge real people on LIVE. Buy houses and cars, then race them through the streets of Oahu. Can’t afford that new car? Just rent it then! And you can Test Drive all cars before you buy them. A must have racing game – well I just HAD to have it!!!
You know, I can admire the goal that Test Drive Unlimited set out to achieve. I really can. And they do some good work toward that goal. But the sad fact of the matter is that I’m about halfway through the game progression, and it’s entirely probably that I may never start the game up again. To start, for those who don’t know, the game itself is basically a standard racer, with the twist in this case being that it takes place on a pretty accurate virtual reproduction of the island of Oahu. The basic idea is the same – you win races, earn money, buy cars, houses, etc. However, the entire game takes place in a sort of real-time online world that you inhabit with a number of other selected members of the Live community that happen to be online at the time. The concept itself is pretty interesting, as it basically combines the features of a racing game with the format of an MMO. Kind of cool, right? Well, sort of. When you’re just driving around the island, remarking at how nice everything looks, or playing the races that you stand a chance at (which is not all of them), it’s quite enjoyable. The island is beautifully rendered, and while the car you drive is utterly immune to damage (one of those silly things that car companies tend to suggest and tend to be one of the hassles most frequently left out of games of the type), they do at least manage to look good in their base states.Unfortunately, all this good stuff, and there is a lot of it, doesn’t really help much for th.
Maybe I missed the point. I was impressed by this game, having played it after Gotham 3. Like Gotham, it has the in-car views, which is cool.It innovates in that you’re always online–folks online are driving around your island, you can hear them talking, race with them, etc. However, I could care less about clothing and houses. This is almost like an RPG with racing grafted on, and the Racing isn’t that good. It all starts to feel the same–because it is. And unlike with Forza 2 or PGR3, you can’t really memorize the tracks, which is annoying. So, while I’m impressed and applaud Atari for releasing it, it’s not really a pure racer . . but more of a role playing game where you get to drive cars around.
as described, fast shipping
I really love this game, mostly for the detail, roads, and that they have separate dealerships for cars, unlike NFS games. I bought this game used for only $11.93, but i say that it is worth much more than that. The Xbox 360 version is the best for any who wants to buy it. What i really love about this game is that they’ve created a car list that differs from other racing games. Most of the other games are too similar, but this game gives you nice cars and you can actually color your interior. The roads aren’t exactly the same, because years have passed and more roads are constructed. You actually get to drive off road in addition to already 1,000miles (1600km) of open road. I don’t know a game with that much of an open world besides Test Drive Unlimited 2 coming on September 21, 2010 in Ibiza. You’ll spend days trying to explore the whole island and weeks completing. You’d really like this game if you like exploration, and for Xbox Live, you get an add-on that makes the physics more realistic. There are so many car add-ons, and a lot of them are free. There are no Porsches or BMW’s or many Japanese cars, but really, most racing games always have a lot of Japanese cars, sometimes the same in every game. I like how you can test drive a car to see if it is right for you too. Buying houses and collecting cars is great too. I cannot wait until TDU 2 comes out in a few months.
