I played this back on the Xbox 360 during the first month of Games with Gold. Fable III was the first ever free game of the month. I played it like four times. Fable III isn’t sold on Steam anymore so to be able to get a working game key is great. Hopefully Fable IV is in development.
February 2019 and this still works just fine. Make sure you delete the games for windows live version it installs and get the new gfwl from the Microsoft website. Then everything will work out.

I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve completed this game. LOVE IT!! It’s truly a shame the Fable series is no longer in production. Also, if you want to play this game on Windows 10, you will need to download a file online and put it in the appropriate file. You just need to bipass Windows Live for this game to work.
this game sucks ass but the key worked. steam took the game from me at some point and refused to give it back.

I’m so glad I bought it even though it’s got some bad reviews. It DOES work you just gotta uninstall and download some stuff, only took five minutes. I would definitely recommend buying it regardless of the bad reviews

At first, the game wouldn’t work. I kept getting a black screen but when you look into the discussion about getting the game to work on Steam, there is a walkthrough on how to do it. I followed all the directions and got it to work. It may seem intimidating but just take your time, you can do it. It’s worth it. The game is just like the one on the video game consoles. The graphics and sound are great. I suggest you buy a pc game controller to play it.
