I never understood how grown men/women could just sit in front of the tv playing on a game system for hours on end, until I was introduced to the Syberia series. I was so skeptical to play, figured with the new technology I would be doomed from the start. Surprisingly, it really wasn’t that difficult to pick up on, especially when you are so enamored by the story line.I highly recommend this game! If this is the new look of gaming, I hope I’m able to find others with the same quality & style. (This game would make such an incredible action/adventure movie as well.)SIDE NOTE:I’m not sure that you would get the same effect if you played part 2 first. After playing part 1, I couldn’t wait to get part 2 in the mail. If I did it all over, I would buy both at once.
I loved this game when it was released, but I sold my xbox prior to beating it to get a 360, I recently got an original xbox again, and decided to start rebuying games I had gotten rid of, this fits the bill great!
ok
I really loved the first Syberia. It was amazingly beautiful and stylized- so different than anything else I’d seen. I really got into the storyline and the characters to the point that at its completion, I exclaimed to no one in particular- “I’ve found Hans Vorelberg!” with satisfaction. Well- Syberia 2 is more of the same. Still beautiful to look at. Still great character development and storyline. Still slightly more difficult than they have to be, stylish puzzles to solve. I liked the later sections of the game much more than the early ones. I’m not exactly sure why this series of games was not more popular? I highly recommend both the original Syberia and this, its sequel.
Syberia II for X Box is such an excellent game. Women especially will love the touching storyline, adventure and breathtaking graphics. As a follow-up to Syberia for X Box, this was a lovely conclusion to the somewhat disappointing ending of the first. I have never really played video games, but I really liked the setup of this game. The controls are easy to learn, and if you played the first game, they are pretty much the same. I am just so impressed with both Syberia games. I wish they made more games like this (games that women enjoy to play).
This type of gaming experience can be quite addictive, and the unique plot of the first game brought me back for another go, but in the end I felt somewhat bad for the Kate Walker, the main character. The first game had a personal subplot going on for her, which was kind of glossed over in this installment. The gameplay was okay, but for the most part the gorgeous environment is non-interactive, which can be a little disappointing at times. The story arch ended well for the Voralburgs, but after getting a little attached to Kate, it would be nice to have a little more resolution for her.

This game did not disappoint. The graphics were amazing, and the storyline picked up where the first had left off so you got to follow along as Hans continues on to Syberia. This game was more enjoyable the first. The only downside – when the game is over, it happens very abruptly. One minute you’re playing, the next reading credits. This was highly disappointing, but until that point everything was just as I had hoped. While the ending leaves you wanting more, the game is worth every penny. I could not stop, every change I had, I was continuing on with an imaginative journey that kept me wanting to push farther and farther.
