the best
a great gift for grandson.
The censored cover caused me to nearly miss this. I mean, they don’t even show Kaguya’s cleavage like they should.Anyway, I’ll keep this short and to the point. Super Robot Wars is an ongoing anime series, and this game is a distant offshoot. It has characters from Xenosaga in it, and is an attempt to cross worlds for a common goal. I won’t spoil things, but everyone has a purpose here.Previous games on GBA were strategy RPG’s; this one is a traditional RPG, 2D, with brief animations. You control Haken, a playboy-type character who uses guns and swords interchangeably, and dresses like a cowboy. You are accompanied by Aschen, an android with a rather unrealistic body who you’ve known for years. Neither of you remembers how you found each other or why you’ve stayed together, but you are bounty hunters looking in ancient ships and ruins. You eventually will stumble across your other characters, who all have stories that revolve around the main storyline. To bullet this out….** PROS **- The game is easy to get into. There are no complex or touch controls; everything is controlled with the various buttons. There’s even a brief tutorial if you need to know how to do something.- The combat engine is quite engaging. If you’re good enough, and have enough characters, you can unleash combos that reach into the double or even triple digits, juggling opponents in the air for extended periods.- The character development is moderate. It’s not as strong as other games such as.
Having been a fan of the Super Robot Taisen series I was expecting another strategy rpg game, but to my surprise it turned into a mix between tradition turn base attacks and active time battle. Pressing the A button at the right time allowed the hits meter to increase causing more damage and also help build your overlimit meter(super move) faster. As what the product description said this is really intended for mature players. Also for you purist who hates english dubs in their jrpg games you’ll be glad to know there is only the japanese dialogue for the voice-acting. A refreshing new battle system and the storyline is quite entertaining, give this game a try if you like role playing games or animes and catgirls with a hilarious storyline intended for mature gamers. Forgot to mention great graphics as well.
If you’ve played Super Robot Taisen OG and OG 2 then you’re a bit familiar with the franchise. This is not like that because it’s not an RTS. Endless Frontier is an RPG and you play the protagonist Haken, a Cowboy Bounty Hunter, who is partnered with Aschen, an android. They search a ship where they were found 20 years ago and discover a girl and from there what becomes a simple mission to take Kaguya (a princess from another world that is on a pilgrimage)back to her home to having to save all worlds from the Mild Keil crystals that have been messing up all worlds. I don’t want to risk spoiling the game for you all, but it does have that SRT twist. The music is great and fans from the other installments of the Super Robot Taisen Franchise will recognize them and the references to the other games. The battle system involves attacking using combos that involve timing, once you get it down you’ll be beating enemies quickly. There is voice acting, but it’s in Japanese so all of you otaku out there will love it for that alone. This is a crossover game, so I won’t spoil the characters for you, but there is a special feature that if you have Super Robot Taisen OG or OG 2 you can insert that in your DS when you start a new file on Endless Frontier. I don’t own those games so you’ll have to find out for yourselves. The only problem I have with the game is that the TRUE enemies you have to fight later on though they fit with the game aren’t nearly as good as the others that could have been.
the 1st thing i thought this would be same stragey robot game like 1 & 2 but this concept is totaly diffrent from the two game is more role playing game white marvel vs capcom when play all made combos you make to defeat. they did use alot for super robot name as there hero like haken browning you think he the son of excellen browning that what you think in game but it not. Haken browning is from another world enterly. when 1st played it i though it was gonna be it would reach a certen level before you could pilot any of alteisen & weissritter. But this new change of concept is very interesting becouse super robot taisen og when big they even have there owen anime show and so play the part 1 & 2 was more fun to play. but this new concent they made in endless frontier. I guess it for new generation my kid like very much. i grew up playing the japnies vertion super robot wars stragey game i guess im stuck old school.
I bought this for my son and he likes it. So if it pleases him than I’m pleased. I would recommend this to family and friends.
excellent.
The gameplay is more action based than you would expect. The constant fighting between characters and innuendos make most cut scenes hilarious. Not as much fun the second time around but the unlocked bonus is pretty cool.
First off let me say if sexual innuendo and jokes aren’t your thing, this game is not for you. It has this type of fanservice literally bursting at the seams. Now that aside, the game is pretty fun. Chaining your combos, finding the character setups that you enjoy is addicting. If your a Super Robot Taisen fan like I am, this is a definite buy.
