For nostalgia purposes i was close to giving this a five star rating, but I’ll be honest, as cool as this game is it does get a little monotonous. It is very Doom esque but doesn’t really deliver on the action. There is action but once you get through it you find yourself getting lost and really trying to just get out of the levels…but with that said this game is pretty cool. The sewer level is annoying to navigate but is really cool inclusion especially for True star wars fans. The story is sick as well. So all in all I’d say this is well worth getting but i wouldn’t expect to see significant differences in the levels as you play just different enemies and difficulties.But a must for any true star wars fan.
Graphics suffer due to the age of the game . For those not in the know , its basically wolfenstien with STAR WARS elements . PS3 can smooth the graphics to a point however. 10/10 for nostalgia purposes

Love it. Probably becuase of nostalgia. Still a great game. Runs better on the first gen PS3, because of smoothing though.

A very fun game, just like I remember
Kyle Katarn quickly became my favorite character in the gaming world. In “Dark Forces”, the first of the series, you really only begin to learn the basic brute skills of fighting. You also learn several mind skills, not powers, but necessary exercises to prepare you for the coming hazards in the next challenge(DFII on PC). This game, after 6 months of an off again on again gaming ralationship, is still very fun. This was my first game on PC, and though dated graphically, it’s still better than the average nerf-herder. You now laugh at the “T” rating, because we were so innocent in them there days when blood was flying squares, but hey, fun is fun.
ITS A GOOD PORT. PC raci.. I mean Eletist will tell you its choppy and dull and buy the unplayable outdated pc version that you gotta download tons of stuff to get working. This just pop it in a ps1 to 3 and play. The game itself is also EPIC fps action.
this is a great game for first person-shooter fans and star wars fans! too bad it wasn’t meant to be played on a 52 lcv tv though, looks rather blocky and dark, but still fun to play!
