Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent is a 2006 action-adventure stealth video game develop by Ubisoft Milan and Ubisoft Shanghai and publish by Microsoft Game Studios and Ubisoft. The Splinter Cell series, endorse by American author Tom Clancy, follows Sam Fisher, an agent employee by a black-ops division of the National Security Agency (NSA), dub Third Echelon. However, Double Agent was release for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Xbox 360 in October 2006.
The Wii and Microsoft Windows versions were release in November 2006. A PlayStation 3 version was release in March 2007. But originally, the game was set for a March 2006 release. But Ubisoft move the release date to October 2006 in order to have more development time. Also Ubisoft then release their fiscal quarter results for Q1 2006 and announce that Double Agent would be put back at least one month in order to boost Q3 2006 income.
There are three separate versions of Double Agent. One version was make by Ubisoft Milan and Ubisoft Shanghai, developers of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. And was release on the Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3. The other version was make by Ubisoft Montreal (Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory) and was release for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Wii.
Also the Ubisoft Milan and Shanghai version features a completely custom engine while the Ubisoft Montreal version plays more like the classic Splinter Cell games. However, the games share the same general plot but feature different storylines, plot twists and levels. They do however, share the same background music, a few cutscenes and all voice actors. Another separate version for mobile phones was develop by Gameloft.

My boyfriend just loved these video games, they were a great buy and I cant wait to play them as well!
Great gameplay, with fun multiplayer. Not your average shooting game much more interesting. Got it for my brother as a birthday present.
Good game, just as good at the first three, but is kinda short.
I still play my GameCube after all these years and I wanted something new I have all of the other splinter cell games for my GameCube and love them so decided to get double agent I’m not disappointed double agent is just as good as chaos theory and better than blacklist splinter cell games are about stealth and the newest splinter cell games are too action oriented stealth in double agent is the key to victory the trust mechanic is great you have to please both sides or you lose the graphics are great and the game is pretty long each level takes around an hour the replay value is great because of all the choices you can make whoever you help more the JBA or third echelon decides which ending you getOverall splinter cell double agent is a great stealth game that takes us back to when splinter cell was a stealth game not an action game double agent is definitely one of the best in the series and is definitely worth owning for any GameCube ownerHighly recommended
It was great
Another awesome Splinter Cell game to play and have fun with. This is a good game to play on the gamecube, however I would say that out of the whole series this is probably my least favorite. The story is good, but not as compelling as a Splinter Cell game ought to be. Although this is fun to play, the mechanics and controls are just the same as Chaos Theory and this title doesn’t feel like an improvement in the series, it just feels like a filler not a quality story with epic gameplay. Plus the trust meter idea seemed a little cheap and almost pointless at times. Unless you really like SC games (like me!) then Chaos Theory would be a better bet.
grandson loves the game
its a good game love playin the older games.i own three splinter cells and to me this one is the hardest.i love the two player option its neat.i would buy this game again.
Very pleased
I purchased this game on the strength of liking a couple other Splinter Cell games. Glad I decided to buy this game. It’s like a new game every time you play. The little things here and there you do decide your fate as you go. It has replay value, which is always good with a game. The one part part I dont like is the “team” aspect of a couple challanges, then again there is some of that in previous Splinter Cells. If you like the Splinter Cell series, then take a chance on this game. If youre not sure about it, you might want to rent it first. Either way this is a great game.
