Ya, like the game..Just got started on it and it is testing you . Was awed by how it puts you on a particular level according to your age.Its not just a game you have to spell words ,but to also recognize their spelling and if its correct..I was’nt to bad at spelling when “I” was in school but my spelling skills have lagged .Found alot of words I miss spell ..HA.If your a word or spelling fan you’ll like this one I think. It will also test you on nouns, verbs, adjetives “seee can’t spell.”HA.I think its a good game for brushing up on your language skills and spelling. Will be good for kids of all ages i believe since it puts you on a spelling level according to your age.Makes you think”.”good for the brain” ha..I recommend it highly”..
I bought this game for my 7 year old son only to find out its fun for every one. It has 100 levels of spelling challenges. There are also challenges on what is a noun, adjective, verb etc. Its a great game.
I agree that the game is fun. It is fairly fast-paced. It tries pretty well to adapt to the user’s skill level. It asked me my age, and at 38 years old, it put me on level 31. Seemed a little too easy, but who knows where it can go from here. Lots of games that I haven’t unlocked.I agree that the qwerty configuration would be good for two reasons. First, for those of us who type, that is how we look for letters. Second, for kids, that is how they SHOULD be learning to look for letters. It’s a skill that everyone needs in the 21st century. Maybe 5-year old players should have the option to have it in alphabetical order, but they should include qwerty as an option.nonetheless, great game, great fun.more people need to understand that spelling correctly can be fun!
I’ve always been a fan of Word Games so I was excited when I got hold of this game. The games are easy enough but there are various challenges that one must overcome. Trying to get use to US English was something I had to overcome as am used to British English but it was a minor setback. If one is a fan of Word Games, Spelling Challenges would be one to add to the collection. There are various stages & levels to suit each individual’s needs so it caters to both kids above 10 and adults. You can choose the Practice mode to begin with & move on to the Challenge mode once you;re more confident. You’ll then be rewarded with “cash” as the points scored are converted at the end of each game. You’re also able to go to the Challenge level to test your ability which will unlock more games when you’ve completed the challenges.I find these games addictive & interesting & would recommend them to anyone who enjoys Word Games. I’ve not regretted buying this game which both my kids(10 & 12 years)and I will enjoy for a long time. Look forward to more such Spelling Challenges games.
My daughter who is 10 yrs old got this game for Christmas and loves it. She has been glued to it and finds it fun! I would highly recommend this to anyone!!
Okay so this game doesn’t sound as exciting as the other DS games. I bought this game for myself because I like word games. It is fun to quiz yourself on different levels. A nice alternative to those other brain games. I enjoy those games but always prefer the word game sections over the sudoku or music memory games. This game is also great for my 7 yr old twins. They can play at their level and it will advance them as their skill grows. This is great for their vocabulary and they are learning new words.
When I bought this game, it’s intended for my child but when I started to play with it, come to find out, it’s intended for an older kid. I think it’s too advanced for the age of my child but it is worth the challenge!
