Sonic Riders teams up Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Knuckles and a group of new characters, in a wild new racing game. Dr. Eggman has challenged Sonic and friends to race in his World Grand Prix, and you can enter the event and try to unravel his mysterious plot. The races happen on floating boards and include tricks, fighting, and racing. You can customize your character with upgraded equipment as you race down 13 different tracks through a handful of game modes.

My son is 4 and enjoys this game. It took him some practice to get the movements down though. The game offers a practice option which he used until he got it. Definitely good when he has to stay indoors to prevent an asthma exacerbation or when it’s raining. My older daughters 6 and 9 enjoy this game as well. My only complaint is that you can hardly see the little blue icon that shows where the kinect is reading your hand. it blends right in with the background and can be a pain to read your movements when trying to select options on menu.
Fussy game, but playable. Painful story, but definitely an interesting experience. Pro-tip: Don’t make turning motions during the pre-race calibration. The more you lean, the more the game will want you to lean in the race.

I received the game fast but didn’t realize you had to have the Kinect to play it. That detail should have been in the description for gaming virgins like myself.
Well it was an easy choice, because my nephew specifically asked for THIS game. He loves it and says it’s really fun!
This is truely a great game if you are willing ot invest the time in mastering it. The controls at first are really intimidating, but after a few hours of playing the controls are great. The game also has vocal recognition to navigate a somewhat shotty menu system. I hightly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Sonic or anyone who enjoys a little bit of a challenge.
I decided to give this game a shot in spite of it’s horrible reviews. It was the very first game I played on my Kinect. My sister and I jumped in and had fun for the first couple of matches, until we began having problems with recognition. However those problems were quickly resolved once we set up our own individual Kinect ID’s. I created a new box screen name for her to have her Kinect ID under, and I configured my Kinect ID. Now when we go to play, the sensor quickly realizes who it is looking at and registers our movements flawlessly.Registering movement problem solved.There is a learning curve for this game so I wouldn’t recommend it for the younger set unless they aren’t easily distracted. But it really is a great game. Just be sure to configure your own Kinect ID and take the time to learn, because it isn’t a casual game.
Purchased this for the son of a family friend who was receiving an XBox 360 Kinects game for Christmas. It arrived on time, well packaged, and was loved by the child who received it. No complaints. Great experience. Thank you!
