Strange, dysfunctional characters. It was hard to watch at the beginning, but as with all good stories, the mystery unfolds and the characters evolve.I enjoyed this.
The start is initially slow and I found it difficult to like either one of the main characters but as it slowly unfolds and you gain more insight into their quirky behaviors it becomes more intriguing and they become more likable. I like how the film exposes thoughts and feelings surrounding loss that many people may carry around inside them as it takes you on the characters’ journey of accepting the loss and learning to embrace and live in the moment.
Weird as hell, but it gets it’s point across spectacularly.
Like so many others I was instantly drawn into this film. Quirky, mysterious and with a sweetness and integrity of character. I was interested by the many references to Lord Lucan, whose true life disappearance has never been solved.Not everybody will like this film, but those that do will love it. I consider myself lucky to have stumbled across it.
Charming dark comedy
I almost turned this off, it’s slow starting and it’s late. I liked the actors though, and figured I’d at least watch until I saw Jason Issacs because, well…Jason Issacs! By the time he came on, I was getting caught up into the characters and I’m so glad I was. Well acted by all, enjoyable plot, although it’s obscure through most of the movie, which is part of the appeal. It’s about being odd, finding the truth and a little bit more. Things don’t go as expected, indeed you are never sure exactly what to expect, but I enjoyed the ending enough I’ll be watching this again and again. Sorry, can’t go into more detail without spoilers, just stick around long enough for them to get to the house in the country and you may just love it.
I suspended disbelief and had fun. Connected with the characters and felt very good about the whole thing.

Everyone I have shown this to has been blown away – an absolute gem of a film that seems to have come from nowhere. Please don’t read any plot spoilers, just let the film explain itself as it goes along. Also, for those who are fans, I think this was Tuppence Middleton’s first film before she hit the limelight (although she doesn’t get much of a speaking part!).
I watched this pilot episode on TV. I love supernatural topics, i found this had a really good story, the characters were totally brilliant it had a really good plot and i enjoyed it so much i had to have the DVD. It has a brilliant concept on the supernatural and mediumistic subject, it was interesting and funny. I would like to see more of this programme. I have watched the DVD twice and still love it.
