This is one of the best theme park games I’ve played. I played it constantly as a kid, sometimes spending all day managing my park.Sometimes the music can be slightly annoying, but it can be disabled. The little guy that pops up in the corner for tutorials can get annoying, also, but he can be disabled.Other than that, I don’t see much of anything wrong with this game. But if you’re looking for something more mature and modern, your best bet is to go with Roller Coaster Tycoon. It is a children’s game, mostly. But most people would love playing this.
Its really fun and allc beacuse you get vuild stuff and people come to your park and sometimes kids throw up. but its a cool game when i first got it i played it known stop then it got boreing. and this little ant dude keeps poping up all the time! so i stoped playing for a day then i went back to it. its truly a fun game. i say you should get it!
I played this on my friend’s playstation, and It is awesome! I loved it. I feel that it is better then the PC version of this game because in the PC version, you can’t actually walk around the park like you can in the playstation version.Another great thing about this game is that it is different. You don’t go around killing people in a blood bath. My mom is always complaining about those type of games. Anyway, this is a must have for any gamer out there!
Sim Theme Park is a fantsatic game with so many different possibilities. There are four different themes to choose from (space Zone, Land Of Wonders, Halloween and The Lost Kingdom) where you get to decide what rides you want and you even get to ride on them. As well as choosing what rides you want in your park you also get to choose what shops you want in your park. This is a great game and you will get so much gameplay out of it, so its great value for money
I like all the “Sim” games…the original Sim City, Sim City 2000, 3000, Sim Farm, Sim Tower…so I bought this for the Playstation. This game has a lot of the same ideas…you have to keep your customers happy by building enough food shops, drink shops, rides, etc. You also have to hire staff and manage them. (The entertainers like to go on strike a lot). You can also build roller coasters and track rides. All of the other rides are “pre built” and you just place them down. It is fun…and as you get gold tickets for doing something right (like placing enough trash cans by your food stands). After getting 2 gold tickets, you can open a new park. The first park is a regular theme park type. Others include: a Halloween theme, a space theme, and a little kids/worms and apples type theme (my least favorite so I don’t know what to call it). There are two different of each style parks to play in.I give it only 4 stars because I found myself getting bored a lot sooner than usual when playing Sim type games. There aren’t enough options and you run out of room so quickly…if you build too far out, your customers don’t/won’t go that far to walk. So I played it non stop for like a week and then put it away…but just like all the others, I pulled it back out about 6 months later and did the same thing again. It is worth playing if you like the “Sim” games…just not as good as the pc based games.
This game can be your dream come true! You can build and manage your own dream theme park anyway you like as long as it can bring in enough revenue for expansion. If every visitor who comes into your park and enjoys it, you’ll feel so much satisfaction. The animation is real cute and you’ll be able to see all kinds of rides and EXPERIENCE them too! How? Simply click on the camera mode and there you GO! Fun right? Just play the game and you’ll be able to experience rides of a theme park at home. Oh ya… what’s more? You can also build your own roller coasters!I suggest that if you wanna play this game, go for the PC version bacause the Playstation version is more lacking. I’ve played the Playstation version, and it can be considered boring. So if you want the most out of this game, do go for the PC version!
I like this game. Why? Because I grew up with it, so to speak. When PS1 came out, we bought it right away, along with this game. The graphics are not very good comapred to other newer games, but if you look past it, you have yourself a solid game. The variety of rides and places to build theme parks is wide. It is a very fun game that deserves more credit than it gets. It can get old and may not meet all the standards graphic wise, but it lets you create! This game with work for ANY playstation console.
Nostalgia classic that I loved as a kid
Reminds me of my childhood, glad to have it back once more
The game worked great but beware, you should also purchase a ps1 memory card if you’re buying a Playstaion 1 game. The PS2 memory cards wont save the STP data
