This game ranks pretty high with all my other games I have and I have a lot.
This game is great. I enjoy playing it, but it is definitely for mature players. I do NOT suggest this game for anyone under 16 at youngest! I would recommend this game to those who enjoy adventure, fantasy and action games. This game adds a twist of religion background to include Voodoo. Love the experince I have with this game!
This game is full of surprises. It was probaly creepy for its time, but its not as scary to me. The game is about a man named Michael Leroi, also known as Shadow Man, who is on a search for dark souls and other items that will help him put a stop to Legion’s wishes. There are two worlds Liveside: The Real World Deadside: Kind of like an Underworld. The music is very good. It feels right for the game. There’s a song in a place called London in the sewers, where one of the bosses you get to fight is Jack the Ripper, and the piano music it plays later on the level is very familiar. You will know when you make it that far. The sound is very loud, and it can be heard from all kinds of creatures, especially the ones that may sneak up behind you. Shooting in the game is fun especially when the player can choose the hand a single weapon can be in, or they can just go dual-wielded. Further into the games many items, and relics and can be found to help you progress through the game even more. It will take a long time, and changes will occur in areas you been to before. Example: Louisiana is bright until you find the item that lets you bring the power of the shadows to the real world which will instantly make it night. Many unlockable characters can be found through the levels. You have to unlock them from doing a certain act, which a message would appears “cheat unlocked”, and it goes into a list called the Book of Shadows/Secrets. It’s a good story, and the levels are fun, but finding.
brings back memories
It’s hard to describe the atmosphere this game surrounds you with. It’s something you’d need to experience yourself. It is not like most other video games. Considering this is an old school game, it’s ability to fill you with a sense of dread and wonder simultaneously is astounding. If an unsettling experience is what you are after, you need to try out this game.
its rather sad with all the advances in video games, i rebought a n64, got this game again, and realized that since my younger years its still by far my fav. game. the story is just amazing, the gameplay is great for it being n64. nowadays the campaigns are so damn boring i draw most of my attention to online multiplayer gaming. This game deserves more than five stars, brutal, twisted story. speak of games they should make a remake out of for a superior system.
This game is awesome and is one of the best horror games ever made .It takes a while to get in to,but once you do,you will love playing this game.It is a really long game 70 to 80 hours with very complex levels and has a great mature story line. The voice acting and story is one of the best i seen in a video game. The graphics are really good and is the one of the best looking version out of the PS1,DC,PC version. The music and sound effects are really good and will scare the hell out of you.It is one of the most mature game you will ever play and no one under 17 should play this game.
Shadow Man is a fantastic, mature horror/action-adventure game. In fact, it is one of my favorite games of all time. You play as voodoo warrior Michael LeRoi (aka Shadow Man) who can travel between the Liveside and Deadside, where everyone goes after they have died. Michael finds out that Legion (yes, the same one from the Bible) has five of the world’s most twisted and vicious serial killers working under him, each doing their part in a plan to bring about the apocalypse. It is Michael’s job to put an end to their plot. The Atmosphere in this game is some of the best I have ever experienced. The visual style is one that can be described as dark, Gothic, and dreary. The audio work (thanks to Tim Haywood) is phenomenal! The music, effects, and ambient sounds are spot-on. The combination of the visuals and audio make for a game that the immerses you in a world that is both creepy and deeply unnerving. There have been numerous times when I have not wanted to turn a corner or enter a new room, in fear of what might be waiting for me. It’s a feeling that only a few other games have managed to give me.The gameplay, itself, is also very well done. The controls are responsive and easy to figure out. The game is composed of are a fair number of different areas (or levels) that you will explore through-out your journey. These areas range from the cave-filled wasteland environment of Deadside to a prison to an Asylum to an ancient temple, and much more. After an initial visit to each loc.
hard but fun
