It’s a pretty sweet game but very much like every other Lego game so far. You run around and try to collect studs and somewhere around the billion stud mark you can start buying stuff that helps you win the game. It looks great though, and most of the Marvel super heroes are here and all are playable, though many aren’t very useful. Hint: you might as well use Iron Man for just about everything, but waiting for the Mark 42 armor to roll around in the character menu is really time consuming. The character quips and cutscenes are entertaining, though for the life of me I can’t skip them during free play and that’s also really time consuming. I also kind of wish Deadpool wasn’t the spokesman for the game, but I guess if it wasn’t him it would’ve been Stan Lee and that might’ve not been great. Another issue I’ve been having is glitches locking characters in the scenery, or the game just taxing the console and crashing the system One more minor con is load times. To be able to unlock various attributes you have to go to the helicarrier and get on the elevator, which triggers an elevator ride segment and it sometimes takes awhile or, in my case, occasionally crashes the game. Other times you wonder whether the game is loading or if it’s locked up, but you know, for the graphics in this game it’s worth it.All said, it’s a fun inventive game. It’s a bit repetitive at times, and like all Lego games, it doesn’t really require skill, just time. It’s all worth it, but honestly I liked Le.
I had a blast playing this game which is neither too easy nor too difficult. The quick clips between missions are amusing, plenty of side missions make it well worth the purchase. The best part is the number of villains and heroes you can play as, not just those in the movies.
I would really prefer to “love” this game instead of being forced to just “like” it, but what’s to love about a game that has the worst flight control interface of any video game currently on the market? (More about this later.) Despite the incredibly awful flight controls, this game has been played with great enjoyment by myself, a handful of friends, and family members both younger and older than me. (For those of you curious as to my age, think Jack Benny.)I enjoy the Lego “stable” of games because they are built around Lego building “bricks” that I grew up with as a child (remember my “Jack Benny” reference above, when I was a kid, the “minifigures” you used with Lego bricks were either 1/72-scale Airfix plastic soldiers or 1/35-scale green Army men), they put a humorous — and sometimes absurd — spin on the movie or movie franchise they’re tied to, and they involve, and they manage to successfully meld multiple video game genres into a single gaming experience. Really, Lego games have managed to successfully combine action-adventure games with elements of both arcade and third-person shooters, platformers, puzzlers, mazes, and both one-on-one and horde-type fighting games; and they do it following old-school cartoon violence rules (this means “without gore”) and offer the opportunity to play cooperatively with a friend.I’ve played (and still play) quite a few Lego titles, starting back with the PS2 releases of “Star Wars: The Video Game”, “Star Wars II: The Original Tr.
Santa left this game under the Christmas tree for my 6 year old son- Great game, Even after many months my son still plays this game. Its fun , spent hours at first playing but now just every now and then. So many characters to play and you can switch often. If you have a young one that likes the Avengers then they’ll love playing this game.
My husband is a 30 year old who plays this game in the basement all the time, so great for him but bad for me. Giving it 5 stars cause he loves it.
Many of the bugs that people were complaining about were apparently fixed in one of the patches. I’ve had little to no issues with LEGO Marvel Super Heroes – it’s been nothing but fun. So many characters and vehicles to choose from, and tons of side quests – been playing for a few months now and still have not unlocked everything. I highly recommend this awesome game.
Love this game! I jsut got this game 2 days ago and I can’t stop playing it! Oh, just a head’s up if you are buying this game from retrolio, it will be the game of the year version (red box), so if you a game collector, buy it from other shop.
Great game. Every character is done very well, and you get a ton of them. Story line is really fun and getting to 100% is always fun to me in these Lego games. Only complaint: it freezes and glitches a lot. I don’t know if it was just my copy or not, but not cool. Still worth every penny. Love this game.
best Lego game so far. The open world is awesome it really is an open world, you can go anywhere in the city. There are so many things to do and find and unlock. My 5 year old son and I love playing this game together. The story is entertaining and there are a lot of different characters to unlock and play. You can even make your own custom characters from pieces of the characters that you have unlocked. A plus to this game is when in 2 player mode; you can switch between characters and it does not pause game play for the other gamer like in batman 2.
4yr old loves this game. Nice that it is multi-player. The levels are a lot more challenging that I expected: at first my LO asked for help a lot to solve the "puzzles," but he’s caught on to the patterns now and does fine on his own. Great price! We got the Red Box version and it is fantastic.I would recommend for ages 4-12, thought I’m sure it’s a game that even a lot of adults enjoy.
