In the beginning of the game, it can be slightly open ended as far as lack of instruction of what to do. Unless you are constantly talking to everyone and checking the bulletin board, there will be days with literally nothing to do because you can’t figure things out. That was how it was for me at least. If you are a fan of the Sims series and don’t mind repetitive tasks and things that take time then this game will be great for you. If you want that instant action all the time then I suggest a different game. Although this game is way more geared towards the fighting aspect, there is still a big pull towards the crafting and farming aspect as well as the social aspect. A lot of quests including main quests are only available to you once you have a certain height of relationships with certain people. Also, in order to get some new quests you do have to clear out some of the seemingly mundane ones. I find myself lost in this game for hours on end doing the simplest of things. Harvest moon games and Rune Factory games have always caught my eye and I loved to play them and this so far I believe is their best installment. Once you figure things out this game can be a blast and once you start training your skills up, you’ll be plowing down monsters and getting your bachelorettes in no time!

Addicting game, very fun and colorful.If you love the harvest moon series, but think it lacks more action/ things to do. Get this game, worth every penny. It has so much to do, house upgrades, farming, leveling up in dungeons, festivals, Traveling the sea on your giant golem, along with big monster battles that you control. And so much more. I got really into this game, enjoyed every bit!
New game,great,but going is very slow.Good part– you cant die,just faint,bad part theres a lot of interaction between people and you have to know whos on the map,the levels of progress to advance are slow and getting better weapons im still figuring out,very colorfull–Still trying to figure out how to get a farm on a new island.
