Yes I am a dude but still i remember my friend owning it and it is in an anime style and i LOVE anime’s so I decided to try it i was cutsy and i loved the music that came with it I still today sing some of the songs i am hopeing to purchase this item when i get more money saved up ^_~ so for who ever is looking int this game i say BUY IT ^_^v
This game is like 70% cute, 20% korney, and 10% cool. I certainly love anime and video games, and when they are thrown together, I’m just insane over them. This game has detailed graphics and perky, but not annoying, music. Sometimes it can get a mite boring, but overall Cornet’s adventure is full of danger and enjoyment. There is almost always something to do. The characters are adorable and they never seem to stop being the best. Good game, but they should really make a guide book.= ( ^ . ^ ) =
Rhapsody is one of those RPG’s where you take the girl from nowhere(or Orange in this little song)and take her cross country to find true love. The plot is nicely worked out,i love the songs(which you can play in Japanese if you want^_^) and it’s super fun to look at the little drawings.Cornet(your character) can talk to people(and puppets for that matter), and watch them grow and mature(eg the kid and Koro, his dog) but sadly you can’t interact w/them. also, no matter what you do, you can’t change the ending(which makes me cry everytime is see it;_;)I ACTUALLY ENJOY THE FIGHT SCENES, the Pancake attack is NOT to be reckoned with. Finally all the little details(such as the rude little weight-scale and the ripeness of the oranges)are so much fun, and brighten up your day:)I can’t say serious RPG’rs want this, but if you want something fun, heart warming, and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, YOU WANT THIS GAME!!!
This lighthearted, charming RPG has lots of appeal for preteen and teenage girls because the main character is a sixteen-year-old girl named Cornet. The heroine of this story, Cornet dreams of meeting and falling in love with a handsome prince. One day in the woods, she is rescued from an evil witch’s cronies by a young man who turns out to be Ferdinand, prince of the kingdom she lives in and heir to the throne. Ferdinand will soon turn eighteen, and is looking for a bride. He and Cornet soon begin to fall in love, but Ferdinand is then kidnapped by the evil witch. The rest of the game follows Cornet’s quest to find and save Ferdinand. Although the game was rather short (it only took me ten hours to complete) it was just so fun that I didn’t mind. The songs were really cute. I hope Atlus decides to bring the other two games in this series to America. I’d certainly buy them the day they came out. Rhapsody’s no Final Fantasy, but it’s definitley an enjoyable game that I’d highly reccomend.
When I first heard of it, I was both eager to play it and a bit skeptical – a game targeted at girls is wonderful, but so amazingly stereotyped? Can it be good? Yes, it really can.The game is played strategy-style [think FF: Tactics, only disgustingly cute] with the most adorible characters imaginable. You are [or rather, follow] Cornet, a girl with the ability to talk to [and animate] puppets. While she can befriend and talk to them, none are really as "alive" as Kururu – who is very animated and is Cornet’s best friend. No one knows how or why Kururu is so very animated, but it’s a blessing for Cornet, who lives alone with her grandfather. The villians are far too funny to be fearsome, and the monsters are just too cute. The attacks, however, are the best: the special attacks are breakfast foods – Pancake attack! The game is rather short [15-30 hours, depending on how much you level/strategize], but is a wonderful introduction to gaming in general, and strategy games in particular for girls. The songs, while sappy at times, can be downright hilarious, and a few can be touching, especially once you’ve finished the storyline. All in all a cute, sweet, lovable game that can be enjoyed best by women or guys who know how to enjoy something cute and funny. At the very least, it’s a great collection piece, because how many actual MUSICAL video games have you seen?
Although some of my *cough* male friends have made fun of me for wanting to play this game, I still love it. The story is so cute and I think many teenage girls will be able to relate to 16-year-old Cornet. “Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure” kept me hooked for hours…or atleast until my friend told me to stay away from her playstation ^^; Anyway, if you are looking for a fun RPG game, Rhapsody is awesome.
I don’t believe games like this should have stopped being produced. I’m not talking random singing sequences like Final Fantasy X-2 because the only reason they put that in was so that they didn’t have to explain much. The songs here keep you immersed in the story and actually go like a well thought out musical. The game is a turn based strategy game meaning you and your team occupy one block at a time just as the enemies team does and you move closer via blocks to attack. It’s fun, it’ll make you laugh and cry, even the bad guys are pretty amazing. I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves old school RPGs.
it really easy it has this girl storyline i could care less it too fun to i beat this game 3 times easy and normal and hard there all the same I’m guy lol it worth money and i got this game for 100 dollars wow one of the best rpg games of all time
This game is very fun! The songs were also wonderful and the grapics were beuitful!! I love this game! But it’s a little girlish. I wouldn’t think that a boy would play this. It could have been a little more creative. If you guys like this game you would probably like…Legend of Mana, The Final Fantasy seris, Chrono Cross, & Threads of Fate.
This is a great game! Its perfect for a couple laughs. The characters act alot like they do in animes where several girls are fighting over 1 guy like in Tenchi Muyo. Overall the story is pretty good and its great for people who are just getting used to RPGs or wanna get a very basic understanding of battle systems like Final Fantasy Tatics or Hoshigami. This is a must have for anyone who has a playstation.
