Resident evil is one of the first games that scared me as a kid. Despite its laughable acting, the game gets everything else prefect. Sure the graphics have not aged well, but that does not stop it from being a blast to play. The music mixed with the environment stand out very well. The controls may not be the best, but I believe it adds to the suspense just like the fixed camera angles.

Wow, first off I have to say ‘pure classic’. I love this game, in all of its dated graphics and game play with additional cheesy (Jill Sandwich) dialoge glory. That is what this baby is, glory. A truly excellent game, with excellent graphics, for its time and it’s, for this nerd at least one of the fondest memories of my wasted childhood I have. In fact this is one of the things I spend countless hours mastering that I don’t regret one bit.The control is simple and responsive, which I like. This game to me was my first introduction to actual video games, sure I’d play Mario or Primal Rage or what ever on the old SNES. Then one fatefull day young Kazuki Ferret was (at age 8) introduced to Resident Evil. The game for him, challenging puzzles which tested intellect, well designed levels and characters, and o’ course guns.Looking back now, this game was an excellent first for the giant we know today as the Resident Evil series. With such classic games as RE2, RE3, Code: Veronica, and RE4 stemming from it. This game is a simple must own in your video game collection, if you see a copy and don’t own one; buy it is what I say. Been years since I had played the original game and can tell you, this brings back many good time memories! I hadn’t finished the game yet, but will continue to enjoy this game!
The story tells that people were strangely disappearing in the Arklay Mountains, northwest Raccoon City. Half of the S.T.A.R.S., a police group who’s always hired when things go really bad, goes in to investigate, but they don’t come back. That’s when the rest of the group come to Arklay Mountains to see what’s happening to those missing people and to the missing part of the team… They would just wish they were never born.Resident Evil is a classic video game series. Unfortunately, the first movie wasn’t nearly as good as any of the main games from the series. The graphics might not be great since most of us own next-gen consoles like PS2, Xbox and GCN, but they’re still decent.The soundtrack is amazing, voice acting is a little weird and a little silly, but it’s OK. Videogames aren’t about how close to reality it looks and feels. If it was, games from the past would be forgotten very quickly. What makes horror games special is how fun and scary they are, and this, along with Silent Hill, is the best horror game you’ll ever play.
Classic! Old school classic!
I played this game for the first time ever last sept, And i’m already considering this to be my fav RE of all time! Yes its that good! First off here are some reasons 1 Best cast of characters 2 Best enemies 3 Best locations 4 Best music 5 Best storyline. Okay now for the review, While this game dosn’t have the best weapons (That award goes to RE3) Its still easily the most fun and thats what counts right? The puzzles while not being difficult (I did have to read a walkthrough to figure out what the doom books were for though) Are fun and make you think. And if you like classical music than you’ll probably like the music during gameplay (I myself love the music!) The enemies are the best! Zombies, Cerberus, Crows, Spiders, Neptune, Bees, Chimera,Hunters, Thats just to name a few! The locations are the best in RE history (A mansion, Guardhouse, Sewer, And a lab. Okay i don’t want to go on forever so just go get this game! I promise you you won’t regret it!
I got this game at a video store recently, and they sell it for only $10.00, so I snatched it, thinking it was gonna be good. And then it was!GAMEPLAY: 10/10 Awesome! you’re in a mansion with zombies and lots of monters (literally) and you’ve got a lot of weapons!GRAPHICS: 100/10: The graphics add to the scares. and plus, Jill has a nice ass.Dialouge: .5/10 HORRIBLE! From Wesker’s “Stay alert” and “GET AWAY FROM HIM! HE’S INSANE!” To Barry’s “What IS this?” amd “Well, Let’s hope this isn’t Chris’s blood!”ENTERTAINMENT VALUE: 9/10 It’s awesome!So go buy this today!
just recently got a PS1 and needed some games for it. Saw this one for a great price online and got it. Got here in good time and was in phenomenal condition. The documents were in great condition, nothing missing, damaged, or torn. Great buy. Would recommend.
