Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 is a survival horror third-person shooter game develop by Capcom Production Studio and publish by Capcom. It was originally release for the GameCube on January 11, 2005. Players control U.S. government special agent Leon S. Kennedy, who is sent on a mission to rescue the U.S. president’s daughter Ashley Graham, who has been kidnap by a cult. In rural Spain, Leon fights hordes of villagers infect by a mind-controlling parasite and reunites with the spy Ada Wong.
However, development began for PlayStation 2 in 1999. And four propose versions were discard; the first attempt was direct by Hideki Kamiya. In a departure from the fix camera angles and slower survival horror gameplay of previous Resident Evil games, the team focus on developing more dynamic shooting action.
Moreover, a sequel, Resident Evil 5, was release in 2009. A remake of Resident Evil 4 is set for release in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.
Gameplay
The player controls the protagonist, Leon S. Kennedy, from a third-person perspective. Departing significantly from the series’ previous games, the gameplay focuses on action and shootouts with fewer survival horror elements. And the camera is place behind Leon and zooms in for an over-the-shoulder view when aiming a weapon, or a first-person view when aiming with a sniper rifle.
However, there is no crosshair for firearms; instead, every firearm has a laser sight. Unlike previous games where players can only shoot straight, up, or down, players have more options. For example, shots to the feet can cause enemies to stumble, and shots to the arms can make them drop their weapons. Players can also shoot down projectiles like thrown axes or scythes.
Context-Sensitive Controls
Resident Evil 4 adds context-sensitive controls. Base on the situation, players can interact with the environment: kicking down a ladder, jumping out of a window, dodging an attack or executing a “finishing move” on weaken enemies. Also there are quick time events, in which the player must press buttons indicate on-screen to execute actions such as dodging a falling boulder or wrestling an enemy to stay alive. And these are often incorporate into the game’s many boss fights, in which the player must avoid instant-kill attacks.
Enemies
However, the main enemies are violent villagers refer to as Los Ganados (“The Cattle” in Spanish). Unlike the franchise’s traditional zombies, Los Ganados can dodge, wield weaponry like chainsaws and projectile weapons, and are capable of working collectively and communicating with each other. And the villagers’ leaders may transform into grotesque monstrous forms to do battle with the player when encounter. Other prominent enemies include the Regenerators or Regeneradores, a type of mutating humanoid creature with potent regenerative abilities; the troll-like El Gigante; and the gigantic sea creature Del Lago.
Moreover, the inventory system features a grid system, represent by an attachƩ case, that has each item take up a certain number of spaces. And the case can be upgrade several times, allowing for more space. Weapons, ammunition, and healing items are kept in the case, while key items and treasures are kept in a separate menu. Items may be bought from and sold to a merchant that appears in various locations. Also, he sells first aid sprays, weapons, allows for weapons to be upgrade and buys various treasures that Leon finds. The various weapons each have their own advantages and disadvantages.
Capcom add content for the PlayStation 2 version, which was later incorporate into the PC and Wii releases. The largest addition is “Separate Ways”, a side story which focuses on Ada Wong’s involvement in Resident Evil 4 and her connection to the series’ villain Albert Wesker. “Ada’s Report”, a five-part documentary, analyzes Ada’s relationship with Wesker and his role in the plot.
Also other unlockable content in all versions includes the minigame “The Mercenaries” and short scenario “Assignment Ada” (using Ada to retrieve Las Plagas samples), new costumes for Leon and Ashley, new weapons, and a cutscene browser.

I love resident evil one of the best games I have ever played i bought a gamecube on retrolio have yet to play the game but its new so I shouldn’t have issues the shop is awesome answered all questions.
loooooooooveeeee!
The used Disks came in good shape, minus the case, but didn’t expect the case to come with it.
bought it, the game works. the game works good. started playing it from my last save. great game. Leon is back in action.
RE4 is the most exciting game I have ever played. The characters are easy to control and the story is fascinating. Even after you beat it, you’ll want to keep playing because the bonus games are just as fun — if not more fun — than the game itself. This is what they call a “killer app.” It’s so good that it’s worth buying a GameCube just to play this game.
The story line, gameplay and just overall experience of this game makes you want to play it over and over again.
A friend constantly pestered me once to get a Wii because he said I worked too much and did nothing to relax. After a while I caved in and bought a used Wii and a couple of games. Which was when my friend started to pester me to get Resident Evil 4 showing me some cutscenes from the game. I put it off for a while but I started to get bored of the games I already had so I went ahead and bought Resident Evil 4.Note that I bought the Gamecube version; that was a deliberate choice and it did cost me a little more money, but having played Metroid Prime 3 and Twilight Princess for the Wii, both of which use the Wii remote to aim with the camera angles freezing when the remote beam went even slightly off-screen, I decided to go with the Gamecube version so I could use a traditional controller because this game is a survival-horror game; you die as soon as you can’t shoot back. And because I’m trying to stop swearing. In this particular game you are Leon Kennedy, a former police officer who got tangled up in the Raccoon City disaster on his first day. Two years after that incident Leon is working as a government agent somewhere in rural Southwestern Europe. The motive for this particular mission is the disappearance of the US President’s daughter; she was kidnapped in the States, but a rumor of a sighting in Europe causes the President himself to dispatch Kennedy. When you first get there, it’s obvious that something is very wrong, because the first person you meet tries to kil.
Much better then most of the previous games. Capcom and Nintendo did a great Job on this one. I’m ready for RI 5!
