One of the most enduring of NES classics and still inspiring retron and simulator leagues across the US, Tengen’s 1987 RBI Baseball is simply flat-out fun to play. The bouncy score, fireworks, campy newspaper reports, weird throwing errors and towering home runs are all still as good as when you were in high school rocking out to Jesus Jones. WARNING TO THE CHILDREN: in the unlikely parallel universe in which you have access to an NES or feel the need to play this on an online emulator, you will hate it, because you grew up in a world in which all sports games provide you with awesome sums of data and don’t make you figure out anything for yourselves. It ain’t that kind of game. Leave grandpa alone to go 92-for-92 on stolen bases with Vince Coleman.

This game is one of the best baseball games of all-time. Yes, MLB: The Show, MLB 2K and all these other new baseball games may have better graphics and more features, but the ORIGINAL RBI Baseball set the standard. The game is fun and was one of the first games to feature licensed players from the MLBPA, without the actual MLB license. You will be entertained by the wonderful gameplay, that will last for hours on end. This is definitely one of the baseball games to get on the Nintendo Entertainment System. The only drawback I about this game is the music can get repetitive and boring, but sometimes catchy.
