this is great product will buy more great all around and great price for the buck I will tell my friends about this product
The game was in great condition, came in with time to spare, and the case was in great condition,as well. Overall, very happy with the buy!!
This Ratchet game was adapted from the mobile platform to be playable on the Playstation 2. This makes for some strange control speed and jump lag, but otherwise the gameplay is familiar to the series. However there are some cool, unique weapons and functions to this game that are specific to this title. This is true to most Ratchet games, which introduce unique gameplay to each title, and then don’t carry them over to the next. Like the previous games, as it continues, it gets much harder. This game however, does not get easier by upgrading weapons and armor. The upgrades seem menial, as enemies outstrip you faster than you can, and bosses are almost impossible, requiring loads of replays and hundreds of thousands of lost bolts in the process. Size Matters may have some interesting mechanics introduced, but I feel like it’s not worth the gray hairs you get before the end of the game.
Wow! There’s some harsh reviews in this space. Is this a PSP port, with all the associated reductions in graphics quality expected as a result? Yes. Is it a Ratchet & Clank game? Yes. So, despite the weak graphics (really just an equivalent to the graphics of the original game, Ratchet & Clank), is it still a lot of fun as a platformer? Of course! Ratchet & Clank in general has better level and story design than most games and this one continues that tradition. It’s not my favorite R & C either, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good. “Cars” wasn’t a great Pixar movie, but it was still a great movie compared to the hundreds of animated films out there. So give Size Matters a bit of a break — it is Ratchet and Clank, after all.
Excellent PSP port to the PS2! No problem’s playing it or experiencing any glitches or graphical issue’s of any kind. Very happy with it! :)
great
I’m glad that I played Ratchet and Clank Size Matters for the Playstation 2 despite all the negative reviews here. I went to a website that collects professional reviews and found a lot of good reviews for the game. With that in mind I decided to play this game. Boy, was I surprised at how good it really is.The game play is like any other Ratchet and Clank game. Being a fan of the series it all looked very familiar. The action is quite very good. The weapons are quite as good as well. Like in other R&C games you get weapon upgrades each time you pass a level. Of course, you have to earn the nuts and bolts to buy the weapon upgrades. The graphics is similar to first generation Playstation 2 games. You could compare this to the first Ratchet and Clank game but that one is a little bit better in graphics polish. This game is a port from the PSP after all. I have never played the PSP version so I cannot attest to how the graphics have been upgraded. But I imagine that they had to as the larger screen will expose all the low resolution textures of the PSP version. The voice work in this game is as usual very well done. The characters all sound great and match them. The environments are where they could have done a better job. But then the PSP version must have been quite muddy to begin with. But the set pieces and characters are all well done. The cut-scenes are actually well done, too. The characters are smoothed out.The mini-games is where the game gets some low notes. Fortunately.
The product arrived in new condition and was enjoyed by my Grand son. It was within the time frame set by the vendor. I would use this vendor again.
