Works fine and runs well
Playing it on the vita with the extra analog stick makes it easier to control. It’s fun and to me that’s what matters! Not the best shooter on the PSP but it’s still fun. As for it being short… It’s a handheld. A time killer for most people.
An Excellent Tom Clancy game for PSP.
The success of the Rainbow Six Vegas series on the PS3, X-Box 360, and PC has inevitably been transfered to the hand-held PSP. And overall, I’d say the transformation was a success. Playing as a two member team of the elite Rainbow Six Unit you are called to a stop a terrorist threat in the surrounding Vegas area. The weapons, graphics, voice-over work, and A.I. are all up to snuff; though the A.I in some places can be downright laughable as guards ignore gunshots in their direction and partners that are killed right next to them. The game is also quite short, luckily there is some replay value with a Terro Hunt mode that allows you to hunt for baddies through already completed areas. And there are a variety of locals including an airport, penthouse, ranch, and the Hover Dam. Which brings me to what I feel is the games biggest weakness: The NAME: VEGAS. If not for a few glimpses of a mock version of the Stratosphere Hotel, and a brief view of the Strip you’d never know that this game was taking place anywhere near Vegas. Consequently there are no missions in any casinos, on the Strip, behind any famous hotels, or even a gentleman’s club. For that you’ll have to get one of the console versions.Still, Rainbow Six Vegas is a legitimate, fun, and enjoyable FPS for Sony’s underrated PSP.

Plays as expected. Happy with shop
Rainbow Six Las Vegas for the PSP is a great game but still very different from the consol version. True, first person shooters are usually pretty different on handheld systems anyway, but Rainbow Six Las Vegas on the PSP does a nice job of recreating the excitement that one would get by playing the consol version. The game-play, sound effects and music are really well done. The graphics are okay, but I only say this because I’m use to playing Las Vegas on my Xbox 360 in High Definition. Obviously no comparison, but needless to say, the graphics are adequate.Story Mode is very well done. You switch between two characters throughout the game which is pretty cool. This gives you the feeling as if you’re playing with someone else, but really it’s just you switching between two different characters. Story mode has a lot of the great features that I though for sure wouldn’t make it to the PSP. For example, the snake cam is still there. Night vision as well, however thermal isn’t. You still have frags and flash bangs but that’s it. There is no tear gas, C4, breaching charges or other cool devices to use. Just your primary weapon, handgun, frag and flash. This goes for multi-player as well.Multi-Player is a lot of fun, and this is (in my opinion) the reason to go out and buy this game. There’s AD Hoc and Infrastructure which allows you to play with others around you or online. Game modes include survival and team survival, (Max four players). There are also six levels.
For a PSP game this one is very nicely done. The controls and everything works so nicely together.Freelook got on my bad side now and then but hey it works out
Military style gameplay is always fun and challenging.
This game isn’t your run of the mill shoot and run game. You have to really think tactical. Think cover, think concealment, think ahead of the enemy. The Vegas series is my favorite Rainbow six so far. If you like a challenge and love realism, this series is the right one for you.
