This is a great game. The conspiracy driven story is intricate and well thought out. The graphics are good, although not perfect. Some things in the game annoy me, like when you grab someone with blade active and it stabs through their head without them noticing. The game play is fast and smooth. Few glitches. Creative and useful powers give it an “I am GOD!!!” feeling. Overall, it’s just great and definitely worth buying.

I started playing the Prototype 2, then I got curious about the game’s backstory. I bought this game and I love playing. But just be warned, if you played Prototype 2, the controls in Prototype are primitive compared to the sequal.

Prototype was a fun game. I enjoyed the character immensely. I enjoyed that you could kill almost any living thing you came in contact with. I really got a thrill out of driving tanks and flying the helicopters was easy and fun. The helicopters in Prototype are the most responsive in any game I have yet encountered. The helicopters in Prototype are very easy to control. Prototype helicopters are just plain straight up so much fun to fly they become almost an extension of your body and mind. As a disabled guy with cerebral palsy I was finally able to beat Prototype using a very novel strategy to beat the Reagan Aircraft Carrier Boss. I was unable to complete the timed side missions as they are geared for able bodied people with Ninja Reflexes. I found tons of those glowing orb Location and game play wisdom things. Prototype was not the perfectly accessible game I wished it could have been without the timed game side missions BUT the main Prototype storyline stayed accessible from beginning to endand for that it gets my solid Four Star Rating. I took off one star for not being able to turn off the timed game feature on side missions. I am looking forward to and will buy Prototype 2. By the way I found the Prototype storyline to be very good. No it was not war and peace but for a video game he held my attention and made me want to play more.Prototype graphics were bad especially since I have seen how great the quality of PS3 graphics can be when rendered by a super.
So I got this game after waiting years for it to go down in price to be cheap enough. Even though everyone I knew who plays games had already got it, played it, and loved it. So I already had high expectations of it. Since I had already played infamous 1 and 2 I expected this to be slightly more fun. Unfortunately even though this came out the same time as Infamous 1 it isn’t as polished as it should be. The only thing I found going for it was that you could take peoples identities, use different powers and drive vehicles. Unfortunately the plot wasn’t that great and didn’t really get me to interested. Like I mentioned before it needed more polish maybe 6 more months of it perhaps? I don’t really get how some people hold this on so high of a pedestal its fun but its not that great. Its worth a play through but I don’t think I will be playing it again anytime soon.
