PES 2016 is once again the king of video game soccer. I’ve been playing FIFA for a few years, but decided to buy PES 2016 this year after reading the professional reviews.Wow! What a difference. The gameplay in PES 2016 mechanics are far superior to any soccer game ever made. The mechanics are responsive, with no lag, and are highly intuitive. When playing, my hands don’t feel tense and I don’t find myself over-pressing the buttons–I remain relaxed and calm. When I press a button, it does what I expect it will do.And, you have to use strategy that is reflective of how the game is supposed to be played on the pitch. Great AI!Yes! This is finally a soccer game that feels next-gen.While not the greatest, the graphics are adequate and not distracting. Also, there is some ‘moon-walking’ when the players run or perform skill moves, but it isn’t out of control. I’d anticipate PES 2017 will improve the graphics…The menu system doesn’t bother me. Some people haven’t liked it, but I like the simple, clean design.In the end, what makes great video game are the mechanics and AI. PES 2016 does this better than any other soccer game ever made. It is a joy to play. Thank you Konami!

Hmm… where do I start.4 stars because I have to customize, the developers NEED to Edit teams etc. Nonetheless, the customization at the same time is where its at, since you can move players around. Which is a good give or take. NOW, this game is not much better than THE OTHER soccer game, lets be honest, we all HATE the scripting/handicapping/momentum bla bla bla that goes with the OTHER TITLE, but we know deep down in our hearts that the OTHER TITLE keeps the competition alive. If the PES team wants to win, its simple:1) Bolster the game comentary (Commentary really matters, make it more robust)2) Tweak the gameplay mechanics and balance the arcade feel with a little more realism (The goal keepers are weak!)3)Can we get some jerseys please. If you want us to customize, then don’t ask full price. Some of us actually prefer to save money4) Clean up the User Interface. Wow! Have you seen how clean and colorful the User Interface on the OTHER TITLE is? Hire a psychologist that specializes in these things.5) Get some serious catchy music. Hint: Reggaeton is catchy for a soccer game, just saying. Also, keep the track "Elevate" by St. Lucia, tis a good song.6) Get alpha, beta and even kappa testing of this game if needed. Get some serious critical reviews. I feel like most of the blogs written about PES 16 was just to give it some kind of credit. I have this and the OTHER title and i still jeep going back to play the OTHER title, so its not there yet, for me anyways.Some.

The gameplay in PES is truly amazing! I’m thoroughly enjoying the game. If you are a fan of the Premier League or Bundesliga be prepared to spend some time editing as PES doesn’t hold either of those league licenses. However, the time spent editing is well worth it as the game is fantastic!
