Forgotten Sands takes you back to the Sands of Time world, set before Warrior Within.But don’t expect same controller, camera or combat style, forgotten sands has it’s own, even though is heavily based on it’s predecessors.The game’s story is fun and get’s better along the way, personally I would have changed some of the Prince’s lines (specially the one referring to rewind time) to make more references to the sands of time, which is something that they clearly wanted to do in this game.Final word, if you are a fan to the series you will most probably like this game.
great prince of persia game I have played a ton of prince of persia games and this one is the only one that somehow follows up with the story from the PC, PS2 games.
This game has some of the best platforming of any Prince of Persia. Just look up some of the videos on Youtube. The areas you are expected to traverse seem so complicated. You will be freezing pillars of water, restoring ancient crumbled walls, dash attacking enemies in the air. All at the same time, but it flows so smooth so that when you do get to your destination you feel totally awesome for pulling it off, and usually in the first try. Unfortunately the story is lackluster, but you’ll find you’ll be replaying this game for the Achievements/Trophies and just plain fun.
to be honest here… i did have fun playing the Prince of Persia Trilogy and this game as well. it was amazing because it was like a tomb based theme. i loved every bit of this game and the trilogy as well. i did not dislike one bit of this game or the trilogy but what surprised me in a good way was that ubisoft made the trilogy and this game…. ubisoft, you guys do great great great work and i LOVE all of your games including the splinter cell trilogy, all of the tom clancy’s games and i love you guys and i respect you guys a lot too. i would RECOMMEND this game to everyone i know.
i am a prince of persia game fan.. since sands of time.. but my only complain was less enemies… in this game you will get alot of enemies but with all the powers you have, you will still want MORE…the coolest feature of the game: turning water to ICE.. you will love it…the graphics are really nice, very bright, the dialogues are okay not as quirky as the other prince of persia..which makes sense as this game takes part between sands of time and warrior within.some of the camera angles are not that great. what i mean is when u jump down and walk towards the camera instead of the camera moving up to show that u r facing a wall. you wont see it until you manually move the camera..i brought it around $19 at retrolio. definitely worth buying and playing once.. there are time in the game that you wana join the battle but u can’t.( not like onimusha 3 where u join the war). UBISoft if you re reading this do make that happen.definitely worth a buy wont be disappointed with the game…but not worth $60…
Short, simple and easy but definitely fun. While this game brings no real innovation to the series (or platformers in general) the game still manages to be a pure joy to play from start to finish.The platforming segments and level design is of top quality, the combat, while simplistic, is also very fun and satisfying.The only problem in the game was that it was short, it is approximately a 9 hour game, depending on how good you are at figuring out puzzles (which are amazing in this game
I DID enjoy this game, I’d like to start off with that. But, it definitely DOES fall short in comparison to the other games. It doesn’t tie in too much with the original trilogy story-wise and I believe it was made by a different production and development team because it looks and plays so very differently. It seems to be more of a movie-promotion-type release. But if you’re looking for a fun climbing, fighting and puzzle game that’s family friendly, you could certainly do a lot worse than this game.
