This game is pretty simple to figure out, and for a person that does not get in to games that feature explosions, shooting, and other usually violent action, I thought it was great fun. The characters are cute, the words are catchy, and I found myself hooked on this game! It is good fun for any age. I am 31, and my neice, 13, likes it as much as I do.
This here is some dope rhyme yo. Parappa brings a new level of entertainment to the Playstation. With such masterful rhyme weaving skillz, and insanely wonderful characters like Master Chi the Onion, how could you not dig this? This game is totally phat and I hope that you all invest in it, because it will change your life like no other.
This game is amazing. It’s like the beginning of rhythm games. The interesting characters and the short and cute story keeps this game entertaining and never trite even the second time through.Parappa, the main character, has a crush on a girl named Daisy. He really wants to impress her so he tries everything that he can to catch her attention. His friends Katy Kat and P.J. Berry try to help him out as well. However, there is another boy named Joe Chinn who has a crush on her as well but is more’superman’ than he is. So the game’s plot is just that. But the way to get there is really the fun part!Some things to applaud:- the raps are super cacthy- interesting characters- creative gameplay- interesting artstyle (everything in the game is 2d)Some things that couldv’e been fixed/tweaked:- length of game (too short!)- timing (the notes don’t exactly match the button sequences, which make inputting longer beats/combinations a bit more difficult and at times a bit frustrating- Doesn’t offer more than the short game itself (i.e. no extras for beating the game)All in all, Parappa the rapper is truly an innovative game and, though it is considered out dated by today’s PS3 and 360 games, incorporates many different elements that one would not normally think to put together solidly. Despite the games rarity today if you ever get a chance to play it or own it you should!8.3 / 10
The best
This game has do named Parappa who goes through 6 levels of rapping.I actually wish it was longer… SO! There is Parappa the Rapper 2 AND Umjammer Lammy. When I got this game it was used. It came with a nice poster with insructions on one side, and a picture of Parappa saying “I gotta belive!!!”. Anyways I put it into my PS2 and the intro came on and its very catchy! The only problem with it is that on one level, the 4th to be exact it is very hard. If you have played a Playstation its would be meduium but its hard.
Classic! Glad I was able to find it at such a good price!
