There’s something that needs to be said for a console kart-racer being ported to a handheld system for portable play, yet remains 100% intact. Pac-Man World Rally, as such, is not at all trimmed from its console counterparts. What you’re playing here on the PSP will give you the exact same experience! Not to mention, the portability factor and lack of PSP kart-racers help give this version the spotlight.So, for those that are familiar with the Mario Kart series, Pac-Man World Rally is not unlike that trend. You pick from a vast selection of characters, choose one of four cups (and a fifth “Rally Cup”, that groups them all together, except with a single lap in each track), and start racing! The Mario Kart feel is definitely there, complete with difficulties, item boxes, and unique dynamic tracks.If there’s a problem with the game, it’s the item selection, which is full of really uninspired bomb-like things that behave as low-class substitutes for Koopa Shells.Fortunately, that’s probably the only negative aspect about the game. Everything else is top-notch and the tracks are great fun. If there’s a portable racer that can go head-to-head with the handheld Mario Karts, it’s this on-the-go release of Pac-Man World Rally.

fun game just like mario cart
I had a lot of fun with this game. It’s a really soild cart racer, in fact it’s the best racer for the PSP that I’ve played. The control scheme is logical and responsive. The tracks are fun and not too hard to master. The overall look is colorful and slick.But the part of the game that stands out the most is the music, especially the techno tracks. I love the way the songs are variations on the music from classic arcade games like Pac-Man and Dig Dug.My favorites are the song that plays during the stage/character select (this song is also in the “retro maze”) and the song that plays during the Dig Dug maze. Midway should have done the whole game is this style in my opinon.This is a great game for all ages – I recommend it.
I got this game for my kids and they love to play it and now they have got me to play it with them.Its fun to set with my kids and play.
I’ve Like everything
This game is pretty much just like Mario Kart, which doesn’t bother me at all. I love Mario Kart and am pleased it is so similar. The only thing that isn’t so great is the characters, but that really can’t be helped. The Mario crew has become so familiar to me over the years and each of them have their own personalities and so on. However the Pac Man characters are, well, kinda boring. That’s just a familiarity thing though. The gameplay itself is fun and since ya can’t get Mario for PSP, this is the next best thing!
