We all love this game. So much fun. I just wish there were more levels.
I’m like a few other reviewers here. I’m a hardcore gamer who bought this game for my wife who is a casual gamer for her birthday. I don’t play a lot of Wii games but my wife does. I’ve now played this game almost as much as my wife. It’s that good and that addictive. I won’t go over all of the details here as far as how to play as there are other people who have done it already. This is so much better than Cooking Mama. This is what Wii games should be like. If you want a game to actually use your Wii controller for something that actually works like it should, this is it. Fun for all ages.
This game is so much fun, it has a lot of in’s and out’s keeping it challenging after you master the basic skills. We are not big gamers just wanted to have a few fun games for the younger crowd that comes over but everyone even our friends like this game. Be advised though, if you don’t pay attention to what is cooking and let it burn you can set the kitchen on fire. What a hoot! And if you throw out to much food you gets rats in the kitchen. A lot of fun for all.

The only thing keeping this game from getting 5 stars is sometimes the motion controls lag a little bit, but not enough to take away from the game as a whole. I wish I could give it a 4.5 on that note. The premise is simple. You start at a fast food place to learn, then buy a diner. You have to keep making more and better food to climb up the ranks and eventually own a fine dining resteraunt that you must build up to having a 5 star reputation. Overall,aside from occasional lag, the motion controls work great and Order Up is by far the best cooking game I’ve played on Wii if you’re looking for a true to life experience. Although the food cooks a lot quicker than real life it is very close to actual cooking and the game is loaded with kid-friendly humor. I recommend this game for anyone who loves cooking and is looking for a unique experience on the Wii. And with the family friendly nature of this game it is also a very good buy for children that are budding chefs. I haven’t played any other cooking games but this one and Hell’s Kitchen, but this one is much more realistic on the cooking part (Hell’s Kitchen is really just timing) and is a stand out title. The price is also great, but makes me worry because a great game like this should not get so few of sales. Overall, if you want a great cooking game that actually focuses on cooking, get this game!

This is truly a great cooking-themed game. I read reviews online and this one sounded the most worth it…definitely lived up to the other reviews. I bought it mainly for myself because I like cooking and this looked like a fun game that used the Wii controls well. My husband tried it one day and now I can barely get him to stop playing so I can have a turn. I’m only onto the 3rd restaurant, but I can already tell it has a lot of replay value. The controls work pretty well and the motions are pretty true to life. The game is easy to understand. There are mini games built in which are really fun as well. It has a well-rounded approach as a restaurant game and does not get boring. Buying spices and new recipes makes it more interesting and challenging. Definitely glad I bought this one!
