I typically PC game exclusively but I decided to pick up a console so I could play a few particular games. Unfortunately, Sony is bad about their exclusive titles. Unlike XBox–they are far more willing to put their exclusive titles on PC. But anyway—its a PS3. Hopefully all the bugs are worked out by now. Works just fine. Haven’t had any issues yet.I wanted to play Silent Hill 1, 2, 3 and Downpour–and thus far, they all play just fine. Though the "memory card" thing was a little confusing the first time. I mean, there are no memory cards anymore–but for older games that used to take memory cards–you have to create a virtual memory card. This is no big deal–I just wasn’t aware of it. When I put in Final Fantasy 7–I got to the Save Points and…I thought it was saving but it didn’t. So I had to start over.

You CANNOT find a better deal on a new ps3 with this size HDD. Works great, and the only downfall is the disc tray. That is simply a minor issue though, considering it functions perfectly fine.
Great to have can remove disc from console with no problem if any problems occur such as the yellow light of death from the old original consoles that I myself had problems with this newer console is highly recommended if you really want a Playstation 3 console and dont want a lot of trouble if anything happens ( ^_^)b 10/10

Third PS3 after the second one of 7 years finally died. Hit Christmas present with the son, since he liked race cars, airplanes, and deer hunting on the previous unit. The slim design is nice. However, there is a strange glitch that happens every 5-10 minutes in which the screen goes blank. May possibly be the cord, not sure. Other than that, the resolution is as expected and the response of the unit to changing screens is very quick. Recommended if you still like playing your PS3 and earlier games.
