I own this game as well as NBA Live 2002. I like this game a lot better. The graphics are better. The play control is better. So far, this is the best basketball game available for the Xbox. It is a great game and well worth the money if you are a die hard basketball fan.
I have a dreamcast and have the NBA 2K2 game. When i first played this XBOX game i compared it to the dreamcast one. In the 2K2 game the players faces are much better, they even look like themselves in real life. In Inside Drive its not that they dont look a like the players but not as well as you hoped for in an XBOX game. Also there isent as many features as the Sega game.(no creat a player, etc..) But there are others things like awards during seasons. In everything else its better. There are far more moves and passes, more realistic. The comentators are smart(like if one interupts hell say sorry), but annoying. There is also more pop ups from stats that show from season highs to cold streaks.
NBA Inside Drive is a fun basketball game to play. It has good gameplay, decent graphics and nice controls. The best part of Inside Drive is the gameplay. It has realistic rebounding, stealing, shot blocking, passing and shooting. The bad part is that there is no create a player mode. I was expecting a lot more from this game because NFL Fever has a great create a player mode. I thought there would be one in Microsoft’s bball game. But after I got it I soon discovered there is no create a player. There is also no franchise mode. If there would have been these two things I would have given this game 5 stars. Despite its faults NBA Inside Drive is an addictive game. For basketball fans it can provides many hours of fun. It’s worth [the money] if you want a basketball game with good gameplay and don’t mind having no create a player or franchise mode.
This is one of the best sports games I have ever played period. What sets this game apart from other basketball games is the freedom in the gameplay. With a lot of the basketball games i’ve played in the past, I’ve felt restricted in the movements of the players I controlled (can’t dribble into the lane bc you draw a charge, etc). This game allows you to control the players so smoothly. It’s really addicting.
This game is the best NBA game out there.It has great graphics and detail.The free throws are challenging but not to hard like NBA Live 2003.Put it this way I bought NBA Live 2003 to give it a chance and give it two thumbs down.Today I’m going to Toys R Us to buy NBA Inside Drive 2003.But this version is the best yet.
Fun game, nice graphics for its time. Very enjoyable! If you don’t have an xbox it is ok because this game will play on xbox 360. But do check online just in case like i did. Overall my favorite game at the moment.
It rare that i would even dare write this type of title for my review, and i do hope other are not piss at me. Anyway on to the game, other on here might say it not realistic, and doesn’t have a lot of animation like other games. But who really care, this game has something that other games don’t have, addicting gameplay. The most arcade basketball action since nba on nbc. Now if you like nba on nbc(who doesn’t?), you will fall in love with Inside drive. Now you are wondering why i like this game so much well simply put i got this demo out of the xbox magazine and eversince i pop in the cd, i been playing this game everyday, and guess what the demo is only 5 minute long, and everytime i start a new game, i have to restart the game from the xbox menu. Now that how addicted this game is. If you don’t believe me, then you have already miss out on a great games. Quite possibly the best basketball game ever!!!
This is a solid basketball bundle for hard-core sporting gamers. The Pros outweigh the Cons, and here they are:PROS:>> Superb graphics. I’ve played all the others (NBA2K2, NBA Live), and these are the best yet. Lay-ins, dunks, crossovers, rebounding, you name it, the XBOX delivers on this.>> Challenging competition. I’m still a believer the Dreamcast has the best sporting games (and PS2, now that they picked up NFL2K2, NBA2K2, etc.). But even on the “All-Star” Level, I’m able to dessimate the computer on NBA2K2. I have to play buddies in 2-on-2 mode to get some decent competition. Not the case with NBA DRIVE. I’m now on the Veteran Level, and I’m at best a .500 club right now (despite having similar controls, directional passing, etc.). Makes for a more challenging and eventful gaming experience with the computer.>> Excellent play-by-play analysis. I may be biased on this one, but I’m a big SONICS fan. The voice is Kevin Calabro and Marques Johnson (Sonic play-by-play guys). Calabro gives you a variety of his patented and colorful style. Hasn’t got old yet.>> Easy to learn controls. Microsoft didn’t reinvent the wheel on this one, which is a good thing. The controls and method of play mirrors that of NBA2K2. Those of you familiar with that won’t have to learn anew.>> Realistic passing. If you pass into traffic, the ball will be snatched away. NBA2K2 let’s you pass into a crowd, the length of the court, etc., and you always find your man. Not entirely the wa.
All I can say is "off da hook". The graphics are the best I have seen for basketball games. You can trade players, do a fantasy draft, sign players, fire players and manage your franchise. If you like basketball get this game.
This game absolutely kills it. It has got to be the best basketball game on the market. The graphics are so good it is unbelievable. Onece I picked up this game I was imediatly hooked; There are tons of different kinds of dunks and player celebrations after they slam it home. If you don’t have this game go out and buy it today.
